Jesus is having the passover meal with His disciples, He has washed their feet, Judas has gone from their presence a Jesus is about to reveal what is about to happen to the disciples.
He tells them he is leaving to prepare a place.
If he prepares a place, He will come back to receive them. (you know the way I am going)
Thomas we don’t know where, how can we know the way?
John 14:6 NASB95
6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.
Jesus said that if you have seen me, you have seen the father.
If you have known me, you know the father.
I am in the Father and the Father is in me.

John 14

Jesus is the vine

John 15:
John 15:1–2 NASB95
1 “I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. 2 “Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit, He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit, He prunes it so that it may bear more fruit.

John 15:18 NASB95
18 “If the world hates you, you know that it has hated Me before it hated you.
But you can have peace
John 16:33 NASB95
33 “These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world.”

Peace with God

why don’t we have it?
It started with Adam and Eve.
Read through the bible.
Genesis 3:17–19 NASB95
17 Then to Adam He said, “Because you have listened to the voice of your wife, and have eaten from the tree about which I commanded you, saying, ‘You shall not eat from it’; Cursed is the ground because of you; In toil you will eat of it All the days of your life. 18 “Both thorns and thistles it shall grow for you; And you will eat the plants of the field; 19 By the sweat of your face You will eat bread, Till you return to the ground, Because from it you were taken; For you are dust, And to dust you shall return.”
Genesis 3:
That verse declares what Romans repeats, which is that the wages of sin is death.
Isaiah 59:2 NASB95
2 But your iniquities have made a separation between you and your God, And your sins have hidden His face from you so that He does not hear.
And yes, none of us are immune.
1 John 1:8 NASB95
8 If we say that we have no sin, we are deceiving ourselves and the truth is not in us.
So why do we not have peace with God?
Everyone say, It’s my fault!

How do we have peace with God?

You already started.

Confess sin

In a day when everything is everybody else’s fault, how pleasing it is to God for people to take responsibility for their actions?
1 John 1:9 NASB95
9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
1 John

Confess Christ

Romans 10:8–10 NASB95
8 But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart”—that is, the word of faith which we are preaching, 9 that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; 10 for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.
Romans 10:8-
Matthew 10:32 NASB95
32 “Therefore everyone who confesses Me before men, I will also confess him before My Father who is in heaven.
Matthew 10:

Obey Christ

John 14:23–24 NASB95
23 Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our abode with him. 24 “He who does not love Me does not keep My words; and the word which you hear is not Mine, but the Father’s who sent Me.
It’s too hard!!!!!
But understand something!
When you want success as bad as you want air, you will become as success full at me.
When you want holiness and obedience to Christ as bad as you want air, you will find it.
When you hate your sin as much as you hate not being able to breath,

Peace with God is not Peace on Earth

Matthew 10:33–39 NASB95
33 “But whoever denies Me before men, I will also deny him before My Father who is in heaven. 34 “Do not think that I came to bring peace on the earth; I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. 35 “For I came to set a man against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law; 36 and a man’s enemies will be the members of his household. 37 “He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me; and he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me. 38 “And he who does not take his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me. 39 “He who has found his life will lose it, and he who has lost his life for My sake will find it.
Matthew 10:32–39 NASB95
32 “Therefore everyone who confesses Me before men, I will also confess him before My Father who is in heaven.
Matthew 10:33-
Matthew 10:32-
You’ve Got to want Jesus more than anything.
Story of successful prodigy!
When you want success as bad as you want air, you will become as success full at me.
When you want holiness and obedience to Christ as bad as you want air, you will find it.
When you hate your sin as much as you hate not being able to breath,

The benefit of peace with God

Philippians 4:6–7 NASB95
