Your Plan, God’s Plan

How many of you want to be rich when your older?
How many want a family maybe some kids?
Why have you come up with this Plan.
So often we go for our plan,
What are things in your life that you think will make you happy?
We want money,
How do you get there?
We all have a plan for our lives, we all have some thing we want do or goals we want to achieve.
Now none of this is bad. In fact having goals and dreams I believe are a great thing for all of us to have?
I have some of my own. Though I will say some of my goals and dreams have changed since I was younger.
What did you want to be when you were younger?
Pause for answers.
I wanted to be a cop.
Now as you can see, I am not a cop lol.
You know so often we chase our dreams only to find out its not gonna work out like we think it should. we get in this mind set that only if we had More
money
certain car
lived in the right house
only if i could afford this or that
Then I could be happy. Then I could be happy.
have you ever noticed though. there are a lot of people who hit goals that the rest of us would hold up to as luckest
have the most money
have nice cars
live in the right house or big house
have basiclly what ever they want
maybe they can date who ever they what.
But they also often times end up being the most unhappy people.
Lets talk about Robin Williams.
Robin was
Wealthy
had fam
friends
he could have basically what ever his heart desire was.
Yet he killed him self.
Same with
Chester Bennington - Singer and song writer for Lincoln park.
Same thing as Robin Williams
he had what ever he wanted but he still could not find joy in his life.

Out side of God

see when we live a life out side of the will of God. These things happen. We can chase everything around us but we will never find joy.
I remember back in my old days before I found Jesus. I would look for joy out of partying getting drunk. Chasing desires of the flesh. Yet no matter how hard i tried. No matter what I did. or what i bought Nothing could fill this void with in my self.
Even met some one thought she was the one.
have you ever found your self in that postion? That no matter how hard you try you just never seem to feel completed.
Always feel like your letting others down?
I know I have many times.
It can be a hard lonely world at times.
You try to put on a smile but its not really you. You but on the fake you that we talked about last week.
Off Course

God’s way

It wasn’t till i finally surrendered back to God.
Psalm 40:1–3 CSB
I waited patiently for the Lord, and he turned to me and heard my cry for help. He brought me up from a desolate pit, out of the muddy clay, and set my feet on a rock, making my steps secure. He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see and fear, and they will trust in the Lord.
Ps
Psalm 42:11 CSB
Why, my soul, are you so dejected? Why are you in such turmoil? Put your hope in God, for I will still praise him, my Savior and my God.
John 16:33 CSB
I have told you these things so that in me you may have peace. You will have suffering in this world. Be courageous! I have conquered the world.”
