Overcoming Offense

Don’t spread your offense - they might pick up your offense and be trapped also
KJV 190023 Therefore if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there rememberest that thy brother hath ought against thee; 24 Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift. 25 Agree with thine adversary quickly, whiles thou art in the way with him; lest at any time the adversary deliver thee to the judge, and the judge deliver thee to the officer, and thou be cast into prison.
KJV 190015 Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother. 16 But if he will not hear thee, then take with thee one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established. 17 And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the church: but if he neglect to hear the church, let him be unto thee as an heathen man and a publican. 18 Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
2. Repeating Corrupt Communication from Someone Else is now Corrupt Communication Coming out of MY Mouth.
NKJV29 Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers.
A good test is to ask yourself the questions:
Is the person I am sharing this with going to see the person I am sharing about in a way that makes them look more like Jesus?
If whomever I am saying something about were to hear this, would they feel built up or torn down?
If the answer to either, or both of these questions is “No,” then I am letting corrupt communication come out of my mouth.I don’t have to LET it come out of my mouth.
NKJV21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit.
