Bobbye Moorhouse
Greeting
Prayer
PrayerObituary
Eternal God,
we praise you for the great company of all those
who have finished their course in faith
and now rest from their labor.
We praise you for those dear to us
whom we name in our hearts before you.
Especially we praise you for Bobbye,
whom you have graciously received into your presence.
To the family and friends gathered here, grant your peace.
Let you light shine on them;
and help us so to believe where we have not seen,
that your presence may lead us through our years,
and bring us at last with them
into the joy of your home
not made with hands but eternal in the heavens;
through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Amen.

Life of Bobbye Moorehouse.
Bobbye truly lived an amazing life.
It had its ups and its downs, there was joy and there was sorrow.
We all experience those types of things in life but in life Bobbye knew the secret to living life to the fullest no matter the situation.
One of her favorite verses came from Proverbs and it is a verse that she always repeated.
When storms come and life gets hard you can get frustrated and blame God or someone else for the situation that you are in or you can come to realize that the storms and difficulties found in this life are simply a part of living.
You can’t avoid them and you can’t get away from them but if you trust in God with all your heart and know that He is your strength and foundation then there isn’t a storm in this world that can overcome you.
Bobbye knew this and it helped shape her into the amazing woman we love and care for.
When I prepare for a memorial service I try and find a scripture that describes the essence of the person who has died and I feel like I found the perfect scripture for Bobbye in .
Trust in the LORD with all your heart,
and do not lean on your own understanding.
6 In all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will make straight your paths.
1 Corinthians 13:1-
This is a strange verse to use at a funeral because so often it is used for weddings but this verse truly describes who Bobbye was.
She was patient and kind, she did not envy or boast, she was not arrogant or rude, she was not easily irritated or resentful, she did not rejoice in wrongdoing but rejoiced in the truth.
Bobbye was love and she personified that in the way she lived her life and by the way she treated those around her.
She was truly a remarkable person and to know her means that you were truly blessed.

Romans 8:18-28
18 For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us.
19 For the creation waits with eager longing for the revealing of the sons of God.
20 For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of him who subjected it, in hope 21 that the creation itself will be set free from its bondage to corruption and obtain the freedom of the glory of the children of God.
22 For we know that the whole creation has been groaning together in the pains of childbirth until now.
23 And not only the creation, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for adoption as sons, the redemption of our bodies.
24 For in this hope we were saved.
Now hope that is seen is not hope.
For who hopes for what he sees?
25 But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience.
26 Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness.
For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.
27 And he who searches hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.
28 And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.
Bobbye spent her life pouring into others.
She was a true servant.
The final thought I want to leave you with is that of Hope.

Closing Prayer
God of us all, your love never ends.
When all else fails, you still are God.
We pray to you for one another in our need,
and for all, anywhere, who mourn with us this day.
To those who doubt, give light;
to those who are weak, strength;
to all who have sinned, mercy;
to all who sorrow, your peace.
Keep true in us
the love with which we hold one another.
In all our ways we trust you.
And to you,
with your Church on earth and in heaven,
we offer honor and glory, now and for ever.
Amen.
