Jesus knew that the Father had given him authority over everything and that he had come from God and would return to God (John 13:3). So he wanted to leave them His example (John 13:17). And he wanted to tell them all they could stand to hear (John 16:12).
And he goes about to even tell them why he told them what he told them. Let's look at why it's so important for us TODAY to know...really know and experience and respond to what He told the first disciples so long ago.
It promises to change our experience with Him.
