Lesson #1 - It is imperative that we take time to remember the “knock down” moment with the gospel. This remembrance has a way of encouraging our hearts towards a “God-centered, Christ-originating” true gospel.
is the result of this.
Galatians 1:24 KJV 1900
And they glorified God in me.
The slip into a man-centered gospel is quite natural and easy to do…
Galatians 1:6 KJV 1900
I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:
How can I identify a man-centered “other gospel” versus a “Christ-originated” gospel?
Introductory thoughts:
It is important to realize that places which once held to the Christ-originated gospel are NOT immune to ignorance about (i) gospel application in different cultures or to (ii) reverting to a man-centered gospel.
Any gospel, aside of this true gospel, will inevitably lead to or reveal a man-centered emphasis.
How can I identify a man-centered “other gospel” versus a “Christ-originated” gospel?
There are symptoms that become evident:

#1 - Symptom in belief/expectation (2:1-3)

Christ-Originated Gospel:
Believes that no one/place is above deception. This includes traditionally conservative people/places. Places self under same accountability.
Man-Centered Gospel:
Foolishly believes that historic, traditional people/places are immune to having other gospels. Places others under accountability not personally held to observe.
