Today we are talking about:
The process. The opposition. The final push. Then raising it up.Building a legacy.
MANY stories of process. one example::::
Moses.
The Process- He was stretched to a point of change when he finally stood up for the people of Israel.  He defended what was right and a man died at his hands because of it.  He was sent out of Egypt where he married, had children and left all he knew behind.  Went from being a prince to a shepherd.  It was in this new environment that God called him to the burning bush.  What he was comfortable with in Egypt as a prince no longer satisfied him.
2. The Opposition He longed for what God had told him about the people of God: that they would be freed from bondage, in the promise land.  It was not convenient for him to be the one to stand in the gap for the promises of God to be fulfilled.  He was shunned by the people he was trying to help, he was shunned by his family in Egypt that he grew up with, yet the longing to do the right thing, to do what God had told him was what drove him.  There were even times where the people of God, Aaron, Miriam and the others, told him to quit, to not go to Pharaoh with another plague.
3. The final push came when the firstborn boys died in the last plague.  They are free to leave Egypt, gather all their belongings (along with gold and goods from Egyptian neighbors), and flee.  --- But in being freed from Egypt they find that even then their past is following them.  It takes another miracle (Red Sea parting) to really free them.  Even when they were free – it took a final push for them to really be freed from bondage.  It took more faith, it took them being walled in on both sides, one side the Red Sea and one side Egyptian army.  It took a miracle, something not thought of by the human mind, to really set them free.
4. Raising up- Being freed in physical form did not free them in their mindset.  Moses had millions of Israelites that he would now have to “raise”.  He would have to help them see things different, think different, not think like a slave or like someone in bondage.  He had to deal with their murmuring, their doubt, their fears.  He had to teach them how to be a people of God, not slaves of Egypt.
5. Building a Legacy- There was a point in Moses’ life that he had to face the fact that he would not forever be over the people of God.  He had to pass on to someone else, trust someone else and give what he had worked for to someone else.  God provided the person and Moses had to face the fact that God used him when he was needed but now a new voice and generation was needed, Joshua was the next portion of the dream being fulfilled.  As long as Moses was still in command, Joshua would not truly be the main leader.
The Process
Adjusting to your “STRETCH SEASON” sorta LIKE PREGNANCY
Clothes don't fit right. The way you did things before you cant do them anymore. The way you prayed before isn't working, you're learning how to stretch.
The discomfort of something inside that wasn't there before (a foreign feeling)The environment around you feels different: Temps, smells, people.Strange cravings or the need for more (A need deeper than your comprehension)
My soul thirsts for you; my whole body longs for you ()
The opposition
The Heart burn- The longing for God to show you the evidence of your dreams. Sleepless nights- The grand inconvenience of something new
*** there are even those that will encourage you to abort.
The due date.
3. The due date.
The final push. The greatest resistance is at the end. YOUR dream is about to be crowned a reality. And then finally, its here, your dream has been born, its so bright and so beautiful. BUT then you realize something….. IT’s a baby. Whose gonna follow up with this thing and raise it. You guessed it…. SOMETIMES EVEN THE THINGS OF GOD GIVEN TO US HAVE BABY MAMA DRAMA. THE DREAM REALIZED IS NOT THE END, ITS THE BEGINNING OF A NEW SEASON.
Raising the dream.
Raising and caring from infancy to adulthoodDoing whats best for what has been born
*the sacrifices
*the investment of time and resources
*choosing the right environment to raise your baby up in.
*discerning what people and influences are healthy for your dream to grow.
*atmosphere and environment
It's never about our comfort and its always about the purpose.
*any parent can testify.
*it's a long process
*You’re almost there but you're NEVER DONE!!!!!
Passing it on
Building legacy is what births new life. Letting go of what you've poured your life into what allows what you've built to continue to grow.
It’s like giving a daughter away in marriage. The next level can never arrive if we hold on to this one. The kingdom expands by passing it on.
