For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.
13 For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
God is our Creator
the fundamental and foundational stone upon a Christian’s belief system is that God is our Creator
he created the world yet more amazing he create each and every human being
2. Divine Process in the Making
this was no accident
the innermost parts were put together by God
it is not random but a purposeful and deliberate process to create the pinnacle of his creation
(NIV2011) Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness
(NIV2011)
26 Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness
made in the image of God we are wonderfully and fearfully made
14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.
Fearfully Made
fear has taken on a negative meaning which is not always appropriate
here it is the opposite
it is a word of reverence, of amazement, of exalting a marvellous thing
for such is the miracle of life created in the womb
science cannot create only replicate this process
only God can take a bunch of chemicals and breathe life into them
man can only pretend to do so!
2. Wonderfully Made
Wonderfully Made
wonder at the complexity of life
wonder at how one fertilized cell can create billions of cells, all organised into organs and different tissues
wonder at you and I for even in our worst state, we are wonderfully made
human eye can focus in 50 ms, and as a camera is 576 mega pixels (man made camera around 36)
3. Our Understanding
the works of God are wonderful
(NIV2011)
1 The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands.
The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands.
again and again the wonder is expressed
For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.
we are without excuse yet those who are of God - that us believers
we know the wonder of God and of his creation - we know it well
everything about creation , especially the creation of life declares the glory of God and his handiwork
this process of life is amazing and cannot be replicated by man no matter what we do or what we think we can do
men at the time of the tower of Babel thought that they could be like God
15 My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth.
God Involved Intimately
we are not freaks of nature or of accident
God was involved from before we were even thought about by our parents
God was involved in the design and intimate details of a new life coming together
2. Tapestry of Life
woven together - not a haphazard process of random cells put together in a blender
something wonderful, something amazing - this is the human being
all the more amazing when we consider the delicate making of a new human
our life started when we were conceived
it created a narrative that we do not know yet the potential is almost unimagineable
16 Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.
All the Days Ordained
we have days ordered before us right from the very start
God has a plan for all of us
first to know Jesus as our freedom from all sin and death
knowing Jesus places us in the Kingdom of God
2. In the Book
In the Book
there is a book that our life, our purpose our destiny is written down
let us fulfilled the promises that is our life by being in Christ
let the unborn be allowed to fulfill their destiny in God
do not let the forces of darkness that hates humankind keep on destroying that God ordained life
we can change t
blood is being split every day - we need to cover those in the blood of Christ
