Looking back

A few years ago, a question which was being asked over and over...
WHAT ON EARTH AM I HERE FOR?
The question is based on the mindset of....do I have purpose for being here? There must be a reason why I am here?
When I look at especially , it is packed with purpose, with vision, and with self-assurance.
Isaiah 6:8 AMP
8 Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send? And who will go for Us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.
These uttering does not come with something attached…work will go before.

God is ALWAYS trying to get our attention...

God does not force but sometimes we are forced to come to a place of reality

God-Encounter

It starts here. At times it takes something serious to get your attention. Sometimes it’s a sickness, sometimes it’s an event that drives you to a start of realising your place in this world.

Self - Encounter

Woe is me...
Who are you really.
Lead Pastor Andrew Stoecklein died in the hospital Saturday after trying taking his own life Friday. The pastor left behind three young children and his wife.
A California megachurch pastor, Jarrid Wilson, who frequently spoke out on the issues of mental health and his own struggles with depression died on Monday by suicide at the age of 30.
SO, what is this all about, that for many Christians, things are not as together as we think. Is was in that boat. He was in the prophetic ministry, knew how to do the rituals in the church, knew the Torah cover to cover, knew the temple inside out, knew what was meant to be known....but when he came into the presence of God....things started to change. It tell us that self-knowledge, which is so important to understanding our reason for existence, starts with an encounter with God...
It is good when we come to that place of WOE....it means, I recognise that I will always have issues with life. If you can never be yourself, you cannot be effective. I think that Jesus was the most effective human being who every walked this world…listen to this. In
John 13:3 AMP
3 [That] Jesus, knowing (fully aware) that the Father had put everything into His hands, and that He had come from God and was [now] returning to God,
Jesus had a full understanding of who he was because he knew what the thoughts of His Father was toward Him.
Genuine self-knowledge begins by looking at God and noticing how God is looking at us. Benner, David G.. The Gift of Being Yourself: The Sacred Call to Self-Discovery (p. 48). InterVarsity Press. Kindle Edition.
John 13:13 AMP
13 You call Me the Teacher (Master) and the Lord, and you are right in doing so, for that is what I am.
We also have to know that when we come to a WOE IS ME moment, we have to celebrate that. You cannot get to that yourself and we celebrate that moment. We celebrate because it is a moment of “I am poor in spirit”…I am weak, I cannot make it anymore, I have tried everything and I still fall short: “ says:

Matthew 5:3 AMP
3 Blessed (happy, to be envied, and spiritually prosperous—with life-joy and satisfaction in God’s favor and salvation, regardless of their outward conditions) are the poor in spirit (the humble, who rate themselves insignificant), for theirs is the kingdom of heaven!

Community - Encounter

See what it says.... (happy, to be envied, and spiritually prosperous—with life-joy and satisfaction in God’s favor and salvation, regardless of their outward conditions)

Community - Encounter

Is understand that he is not who he thought he was. He says something profound here...”and i live amongst a people of unclean lips”. You see, one of the biggest problems in life is how we perceive ourselves. We have at times too a big option of ourselves or too small an opinion of ourselves. Much of our opinions of ourselves, comes not fro ourselves but from others. The world is fascinated with what others think of themselves. we struggle to operate with not getting a nod for someone…how many likes did I have after my last comment and if I don’t get an like on my comment or pic, then something is wrong with me....or, if they dont compliment me on my new attire....God hel me! We do many times what we do for otehrs so I can accepted and liked...
When we come to a point when we learn to trust in God for help that is an important time in our lives. You see we live with this motto…someone can help me out there. I can go to this friend, I can go to the Internet, I can go to a friend and I will be ok...
Losers trust in themselves and what they have: Listen to this:
1 Samuel 17:45 AMP
45 Then said David to the Philistine, You come to me with a sword, a spear, and a javelin, but I come to you in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the ranks of Israel, Whom you have defied.
45 Then said David to the Philistine, You come to me with a sword, a spear, and a javelin, but I come to you in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the ranks of Israel, Whom you have defied.
It is a description of a loser....that was Goliath trusting in all these things…a description of a loser. A winner speaks this way: “but I come to you in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the ranks of Israel,

God responds to this

He cleans us up
He set us free to be who we are in order to fulfil our destiny
