Who is Jesus?

He is God’s Christ

What is He doing?

Jesus came to save sinners

v15 - He came to save sinners

1 Timothy 1:15 ESV

The saying is trustworthy and deserving of full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am the foremost.

v16 - one who received mercy

1 Timothy 1:16 ESV

Paul received mercy because of Jesus

Paul received mercy for a purpose

Ephesians 2:10 ESV

For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.

As we approach the table of the Lord in His Supper, we are reminded that Jesus, and Jesus alone, is the Christ; that we each one are sinners in need of a savior, and we thank God that Jesus is our savior. He is the savior of sinners.
