NOTHING CAN WORK, HELP, AVAIL APART FROM THE OPERATION OF THE HOLY SPIRIT AND FAVOR FROM HEAVEN.

"I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the growth.” ()

The days of the gospel are the last days. May God’s grace be poured out upon us to know that we’re in the will of God laboring in these difficult and hard times that come in these last days.

INWARD MEANS.

If we cry out to see the Word of God increase, multitudes added to the disciples, and a great company (of those who are least likely to be saved) brought in, there must be an adequate means of accomplishing such a task.

Let us examine our own hearts and ask if we have indeed obeyed the gospel because these “last days” are indeed the last days of this world when time comes to an end and all the world will give an account. Behold He comes, “...from heaven with his powerful angels, when he takes vengeance with flaming fire on those who don’t know God and on those who don’t obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus.” ()

Please PRAY for the operation of the blessed and mysterious Spirit of Christ, who abides in the church, and w/out Whom, nothing is good, efficient, or truly successful.

ASK God to send His Spirit upon us with all His quickening (life-giving) powers.

Let’s ACKNOWLEDGE that whenever we attempt to serve God little to no hope can be secured by our efforts. If we go to the battle in our own efforts, we should be surprised to return back stained with defeat.

OUTWARD MEANS.

PRAY that from all of Redeemer Church, that there would be much plain preaching of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

PRAY that we’d not preach about the gospel but be found preaching the gospel.

PRAY that we stick with it, that the gospel be the hammer that we bring down upon the hearts all around us, again and again. Ask God to settle it in our hearts that we know nothing among outsiders except Jesus Christ and Him crucified, to not boast about anything except the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ (; ).

Please PRAY that the Spirit of God would cause all who hear to not look to their good works, their prayers, their church going, but to Christ Jesus exalted. That our ministry to our children and neighbors, and loved ones would look to Christ in faith and see Him as willing to forgive, able to forgive, to receive them and make them His children!

PRAY that we would have much holy living to back up all of our plain preaching of Christ.

PRAY that our lives match our message. If they ask, “Are these people upright? Are they made up of good husbands? Joyful wives? Children marked with a love for God? Are they good servants?”

The gospel triumphs by the stern integrity of the people who receive it. We gut the power of our message when our lives are just as others who have no grace.

PRAY that as people evaluate our lives that our testimonies are not ruined!

PRAY that we would see more Spirit-wrought individual, personal exertion.

No true New Testament church will have prosperity if only a part of the members are active for the conversion of souls.

Please PRAY that the Spirit-baptized body of Christ (), the new-created humanity which the risen life of Christ ()

Would be realized by all through worship in the Spirit (; ; )

Prayerfully consider what an every member ministry would look like in the three above areas, we would dash upon our spiritual foes like an avalanche and crush them beneath our feet!

PRAY that each one today, resolves to put on his helmet and his armor once again and go to the battle and fight the good fight of faith unto victory (; Tim. 4:7)!!

PRAY that Redeemer Church can maintain multi-generational fervency in earnest prayer to God! Nothing is impossible to the gathered church who knows how to overcome heaven by wrestling and prevailing in intercession.

Is it too crazy to think that everyone in Roselawn and abroad could hear the gospel and be challenged in their sins?

Maybe you say, “We don’t have enough gospel preachers!” The response is: God can make them!

See what he did for the church in the case of Saul of Tarsus. He just went up to the devil’s army, and took out a ringleader, and said to him, “Now, sir, you preach the gospel which once you despised.” And no one preached it better!

We have heard with our ears, why can’t we see with our eyes, the mighty works of God? Yest let’s be a people of prayer!

PRAY that God would kindle us aflame in the Christian life.

THE NAME OF CHRIST GLORIFIED.

THE CHURCH BUILT UP.
