“TIME IS OF THE ESSENCES”
Introduction: God is Lord over time because He created and ordained time (, ). God Himself is timeless and eternal, not bound by space or time ( ; ; ). On the other hand, God is not removed from time. Through His providential care and especially in the incarnation of Jesus Christ ( ), God enters into time without being limited by the constraints of time.

Lawlessness (v.12). This means “the rejection of the law, or will, of God and the substitution of the will of self”
The gospel of the Kingdom will be preached (v.14).
III. Time and Eternity (involves eternal life v. damnation)
Eternity means "time without end
A Christian lives in time but looks forward to the day when time shall be no more. In the present we participate in the kingdom of God.
