A Place Is Prepared

Romans 8:29 NKJV
29 For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren.
2 Peter 3:9 NKJV
9 The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.
1 Peter 2:5 NKJV
5 you also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.
If we believe the previous 3 scriptures, then we believe EACH and EVERY person has a place in God’s House - in THIS house:
We aren’t building brick walls - Because bricks are not found, they’re made by men.
Exodus 20:25 NKJV
25 And if you make Me an altar of stone, you shall not build it of hewn stone; for if you use your tool on it, you have profaned it.
When building a natural rock wall, it can be difficult to see where the rock will fit, but with shaping of the Master Craftsman, it is perfectly placed. - God is that Master Craftsman, not us.
God has it in His mind that EVERY person would end up looking like Jesus in quality
Ephesians 4:16 AMP
16 For because of Him the whole body (the church, in all its various parts), closely joined and firmly knit together by the joints and ligaments with which it is supplied, when each part [with power adapted to its need] is working properly [in all its functions], grows to full maturity, building itself up in love.

The Ark is a Place For EVERYONE

Luke 5:29–32 NKJV
29 Then Levi gave Him a great feast in his own house. And there were a great number of tax collectors and others who sat down with them. 30 And their scribes and the Pharisees complained against His disciples, saying, “Why do You eat and drink with tax collectors and sinners?” 31 Jesus answered and said to them, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. 32 I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance.”
We are not going to avoid the righteous to reach the sinner - we want to equip the righteous to reach the sinner.
Ephesians 4:11–12 NKJV
11 And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, 12 for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ,
Ephesians 4:12 KJV 1900
12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:
Jesus is calling EVERYONE because not a single one of us is able to say we are without sin. -
We have to put away our stones so we have no stones to throw.-
Someone can almost immediately tell if they are not welcomed or wanted in a place - it shows on people’s faces:
1 Samuel 17:42 NKJV
42 And when the Philistine looked about and saw David, he disdained him; for he was only a youth, ruddy and good-looking.
1
Do we/you truly want the rankest sinner to be saved AND plant in THIS HOUSE…because it’s a great house?!
_____________People need Jesus!
Let’s eliminate the ___________
Then we are left with the simple fact that “People Need Jesus!”
Our greatest needs
Romans 8:29 KJV 1900
29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
2 Peter 3:9 KJV 1900
9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
1 Peter 2:5 KJV 1900
5 Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
1 Peter 2:5
If we believe the previous 3 scriptures, then we believe EACH and EVERY person has a place in God’s House:
The greatest descriptors of culture that we can create here at The Ark is Warmth & Belonging and the Tangible Belief that EVERYONE has greatness in them for us to find.
We aren’t building brick walls
When building a natural rock wall, it can be difficult to see where the rock will fit, but with shaping of the Master craftsman, it is perfectly placed.
God has it in His mind that EVERY person would end up looking like Jesus in quality

Who is Your Neighbor

Let’s cast off judgement and the title of “Jr. Holy Spirit” and let God refine us all in His amazing love and grace!!!
None of us is who we will eventually be.
Luke 10:25–37 KJV 1900
25 And, behold, a certain lawyer stood up, and tempted him, saying, Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life? 26 He said unto him, What is written in the law? how readest thou? 27 And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself. 28 And he said unto him, Thou hast answered right: this do, and thou shalt live. 29 But he, willing to justify himself, said unto Jesus, And who is my neighbour? 30 And Jesus answering said, A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, which stripped him of his raiment, and wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead. 31 And by chance there came down a certain priest that way: and when he saw him, he passed by on the other side. 32 And likewise a Levite, when he was at the place, came and looked on him, and passed by on the other side. 33 But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was: and when he saw him, he had compassion on him, 34 And went to him, and bound up his wounds, pouring in oil and wine, and set him on his own beast, and brought him to an inn, and took care of him. 35 And on the morrow when he departed, he took out two pence, and gave them to the host, and said unto him, Take care of him; and whatsoever thou spendest more, when I come again, I will repay thee. 36 Which now of these three, thinkest thou, was neighbour unto him that fell among the thieves? 37 And he said, He that shewed mercy on him. Then said Jesus unto him, Go, and do thou likewise.

Just One Thing:

Ephesians 4:15–16 AMP
15 Rather, let our lives lovingly express truth [in all things, speaking truly, dealing truly, living truly]. Enfolded in love, let us grow up in every way and in all things into Him Who is the Head, [even] Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One). 16 For because of Him the whole body (the church, in all its various parts), closely joined and firmly knit together by the joints and ligaments with which it is supplied, when each part [with power adapted to its need] is working properly [in all its functions], grows to full maturity, building itself up in love.
Let’s redefine our culture & make sure everyone feels that there is a place for them at The Ark.
Ephesians 4:16 KJV 1900
16 From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.
Who knows if this man was playing stupid games and so won stupid prizes? The Reason was not the point - HEALING WAS!

Discussion Questions:

What is at least 1 concrete thing you can & will do to be more welcoming to EVERYONE that comes to The Ark - including those you have known for a long time?
“If you don’t heal what hurt you, you’ll bleed on those who didn’t cut you”
Please read . Please meditate upon and share about how often you would/could say that you deeply & thankfully consider how much Jesus saved and forgave you from?
Please share how you think you would feel and respond to an environment where you could be very transparent and be encouraged to righteousness without being judged for falling short.
But Jesus gives us the grace to be bled on
-
Luke 4:18–19 KJV 1900
18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, 19 To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.
And Then Jesus Renews us and restores us and renovates us.
Titus 3:4–6 KJV 1900
4 But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared, 5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; 6 Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;
We don’t need this scripture any less today than we did on the day that we got born again. We need a savior-renovation EVERYDAY
-Some people say, “I don’t need a shower today, I didn’t do much”
I hate to tell you the truth, but - You still stink!
We should be doing more - Only 1 day is a day of Holy Rest
Luke 5:29–32 KJV 1900
29 And Levi made him a great feast in his own house: and there was a great company of publicans and of others that sat down with them. 30 But their scribes and Pharisees murmured against his disciples, saying, Why do ye eat and drink with publicans and sinners? 31 And Jesus answering said unto them, They that are whole need not a physician; but they that are sick. 32 I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.
Can I give you a key to hunger & always feeling a NEED for a Savior -
LIVE AT THE VERY EDGE OF YOUR CAPABILITY & ALWAYS BE AROUND THE DIRT.
Don’t let it stay on you and contaminate your soul. Wash it daily!!!
Are you willing to get into the blood and guts of life with people on the other side of the street from you? It’s gonna be smelly and dirty, but you’ll get cleaned up in God’s presence & they will survive, thrive & begin to heal others.
