Good morning - Continue - When Pigs Fly
The God Who Heals!
Peter and John went to the Temple one afternoon to take part in the three o’clock prayer service. As they approached the Temple, a man lame from birth was being carried in. Each day he was put beside the Temple gate, the one called the Beautiful Gate, so he could beg from the people going into the Temple. When he saw Peter and John about to enter, he asked them for some money.
Peter and John looked at him intently, and Peter said, “Look at us!” The lame man looked at them eagerly, expecting some money. But Peter said, “I don’t have any silver or gold for you. But I’ll give you what I have. In the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene, get up and walk!”
Then Peter took the lame man by the right hand and helped him up. And as he did, the man’s feet and ankles were instantly healed and strengthened. He jumped up, stood on his feet, and began to walk! Then, walking, leaping, and praising God, he went into the Temple with them.
All the people saw him walking and heard him praising God. When they realized he was the lame beggar they had seen so often at the Beautiful Gate, they were absolutely astounded!

God is not real - God is not good - God does not care!

OUR GOD HEALS BUT HE DOESN’T HEAL EVERYONE ALL OF THE TIME!
OUR GOD HEALS BUT HE DOESN’T HEAL EVERYONE ALL OF THE TIME!
Erastus stayed at Corinth, and I left Trophimus sick at Miletus.
Was sick - God did not heal - Paul left him behind.
Don’t drink only water. You ought to drink a little wine for the sake of your stomach because you are sick so often.
Paul encouraged Timothy to drink a little wine because of his continuous stomach issues.

Common things religious people say when God does not heal.
Common things religious people say when God does not heal.
You have sin in your life - Didn’t pray the right formula - Doing something wrong.
As Jesus was walking along, he saw a man who had been blind from birth. “Rabbi,” his disciples asked him, “why was this man born blind? Was it because of his own sins or his parents’ sins?”
We have to stop blaming people and start understanding God does not always heal people when we think he should or how we think he should.

THREE REASONS JESUS DID NOT DO MIRACLES!
THREE REASONS JESUS DID NOT DO MIRACLES!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Jesus refused to do miracles to PROVE himself.
Jesus refused to do miracles to PROVE himself.
When the Pharisees heard that Jesus had arrived, they came and started to argue with him. Testing him, they demanded that he show them a miraculous sign from heaven to prove his authority.
When he heard this, he sighed deeply in his spirit and said, “Why do these people keep demanding a miraculous sign? I tell you the truth, I will not give this generation any such sign.”
God is not insecure - He has no desire or need to prove His power to us.
If you need a miracle to place your faith in Jesus you have already missed the point.
He proved his love and character on the Cross!

JESUS NEVER PERFORMED A MIRACLE THAT INTERFERED WITH GOD’S ULTIMATE PLAN.

Acts
Jesus would have walked by this man nearly on a daily basis.
Yet Jesus never healed him.
Why?
God’s ultimate plan was that this man be healed but not by Jesus.
God’s ultimate plan was that this man be healed but not by Jesus.
God had a bigger plan than just healing, He planned for the healing to help birth the Church.
God had a bigger plan than just healing, He planned for the healing to help birth the Church.
While Peter and John were speaking to the people, they were confronted by the priests, the captain of the Temple guard, and some of the Sadducees. These leaders were very disturbed that Peter and John were teaching the people that through Jesus there is a resurrection of the dead. They arrested them and, since it was already evening, put them in jail until morning. But many of the people who heard their message believed it, so the number of men who believed now totaled about 5,000.
Why is God delaying your miracle?
Why did God allow my brother to die of cancer?
I do not know but, I do know that God uses all things that are evil including death to His glory and even to the benefit of His people.
Our Faith is not in what God does or does not do!
Our Faith is not in what God does or does not do!
Our Faith is in who God is!
Our Faith is in who God is!
Who God is, is love - A love that is willing to die for even his enemies
A love so deep that even in the midst of our pain he refuses to leave us.

JESUS DID NOT DO MIRACLES WHERE THERE WAS NO FAITH!
JESUS DID NOT DO MIRACLES WHERE THERE WAS NO FAITH!
When Jesus had finished telling these stories and illustrations, he left that part of the country. He returned to Nazareth, his hometown. When he taught there in the synagogue, everyone was amazed and said, “Where does he get this wisdom and the power to do miracles?” Then they scoffed, “He’s just the carpenter’s son, and we know Mary, his mother, and his brothers—James, Joseph, Simon, and Judas. All his sisters live right here among us. Where did he learn all these things?” And they were deeply offended and refused to believe in him.
Then Jesus told them, “A prophet is honored everywhere except in his own hometown and among his own family.” And so he did only a few miracles there because of their unbelief.
I have met plenty of people who wanted God to heal but did not believe he could or would.
Where there is no faith - there is no miracle!

YOUR FAITH MOVES THE HEART OF GOD!
YOUR FAITH MOVES THE HEART OF GOD!
Woman with the issue of blood - 12 years of bleeding - ceremonially unclean - pushed through the crowds - if only I can tough him - I will be healed.
And he said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace. Your suffering is over.”
Are you willing to push through your fears, doubts, and scoffers to touch Jesus?
Do you have the faith to refuse the poor report on your health?
Do you have the faith to ignore those telling you it will never happen?
Your faith moves the heart of God!
Your faith moves the heart of God!

As Jesus continued on toward Jerusalem, he reached the border between Galilee and Samaria. As he entered a village there, ten men with leprosy stood at a distance, crying out, “Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!”
He looked at them and said, “Go show yourselves to the priests.” And as they went, they were cleansed of their leprosy.
One of them, when he saw that he was healed, came back to Jesus, shouting, “Praise God!” He fell to the ground at Jesus’ feet, thanking him for what he had done. This man was a Samaritan.
Jesus asked, “Didn’t I heal ten men? Where are the other nine? Has no one returned to give glory to God except this foreigner?” And Jesus said to the man, “Stand up and go. Your faith has healed you.”
Will your faith allow you to give credit to Jesus? Or will you just mark it to coincidence?
Are you willing to tell the world even if they mock you?
Your faith moves the heart of God!
Your faith moves the heart of God!

Mark 10:
Then they reached Jericho, and as Jesus and his disciples left town, a large crowd followed him. A blind beggar named Bartimaeus (son of Timaeus) was sitting beside the road. When Bartimaeus heard that Jesus of Nazareth was nearby, he began to shout, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!”
“Be quiet!” many of the people yelled at him.
But he only shouted louder, “Son of David, have mercy on me!”
When Jesus heard him, he stopped and said, “Tell him to come here.”
So they called the blind man. “Cheer up,” they said. “Come on, he’s calling you!” Bartimaeus threw aside his coat, jumped up, and came to Jesus.
“What do you want me to do for you?” Jesus asked.
“My Rabbi,” the blind man said, “I want to see!”
And Jesus said to him, “Go, for your faith has healed you.” Instantly the man could see, and he followed Jesus down the road.
Do yo have enough faith to ignore the crowds and their negative words?
“It will never happen, you will never have a child, get healed, be free from addiction.”
Are you willing to put aside the comforts that come with being sick, people feeling sorry for you, doing things for you.
Are you willing to be and live fully healed?

What to do -
If you believe God can but you are struggling with your faith - will he? Should he? Can he?
Then today I want you to seek God for a deeper faith in His goodness.
Truth is - I do not always have big faith - Mustard seed size.
But Jesus said if we will act of the faith the size of a mustard seed mountains can be moved.
I did not have the faith for Aaron to be healed - But his brother Branden did.
So today, come to Jesus like a child - Believe because he loves you!
Ignore the doubt and questions and just believe!
