Paul was a living example of how to be a Christian to the Ephesian church. In Acts chapter 20 we see how seriously he took the responsibility of entrusting his ministry to the leaders of the church in Ephesus. He modeled humility and sacrifice for the sake of the Gospel. He taught them everything they needed to know, and then he handed over the reins. So what does this mean for us? We can see ourselves on both sides of the equation: like the Ephesian Christians, we learn from those who have gone before and then take up the mantle of sharing the gift of the Gospel with the world. Like Paul, we teach the next generation so that we can entrust God's mission to them so they can go and share it with the world.
