Introduction

I. Is Life Change Possible?

It is God's will that we experience life change (2 Cor. 5.17;3.18;2 Pet. 1.5-8)

II. What is the Purpose of Life Change?

"the glory of the Lord....the same image"

The goal of change in the believer's life is to be like Christ (Rom. 8.28,29;Eph. 4.24;Col. 3.10;1 Jn. 3.2)

III. Where Can I Find the Power for Life Change?

"the Spirit of the Lord"

Lasting life change does not come by....

• Guilt
• Will Power
• Force

Life change is the work of the Holy Spirit from within the heart of the believer. (v. 17;Jn. 7.38,39;1 Cor. 6.19,20)

IV. What is the Pattern for Life Change?

"beholding as in a mirror ....from glory to glory"

Our lives are changed not by spiritual passivity nor by fleshly activity but by spiritual activity. (Phil. 2.12,13)

The Spirit of God uses the Word of God to make us like the Son of God. (Rom. 12.1,2;Jm. 1.22-25;Rom. 8.4;Psa. 1.2;Prov. 4.18)
