The People Involved in the Work - 38 individuals and 42 groups
Priests are the first mentioned and set the example for the people
There are different craftsman Goldsmiths and perfumers and there are merchants who help out
There are family units, men and women,
There are Temple servants and even people from other areas Jericho- Gibeon- Mizpah- Tekoa and other areas
There were some that did extra work several times it speaks of those who repaired another section
And there were those that refused to do any work- the nobles of Tekoa
The Places They Worked
The Gates 10 gates mentioned Sheep Gate- to atone for sin; Fish Gate - A main gate but also vulnerable due to outside merchants; Fountain Gate - Dung Gate - Water Gate - Horse Gate - Muster gate - East Gate
The places that were near their homes
The Tower of the ovens
The Ophel - the place where the temple servants lived
And some places were not rebuilt
The Purpose of the Work
To build 8 times
To repair 35 times
To bring back the glory of God in this place
