Today we learn an ancient secret. Its a secret that most people desire to have and unlike some kind of Harry Potter magic it truly works no matter what.
Its how to be highly regarded to be thought of so highly by other people that it rivals how your dog sees you.
Just to remind you of that I have a video to Show you
Youtube Video
4 Then you will find favor and high regard
with God and people.
Proverbs
Dogs love us, because we bread them to love us and they are great.
, because we bread them to love us and they are great.
But God and people will find you in favor and high regard if you do this ancient secret.
Favor and high regard
Favor and high regard
Favor and high regard
Other will like you and admire your character, Even God will be impressed as he looks your way.
It’s the secret that when people say your name, and those who know you will think good person, that’s a person I can trust.
This is a secret written close to 3,000 years ago, after many generations by a group that so valued wisdom that they would go trade truths, wise things, like other cultures traded spices and rugs. They knew God is the God of truth and to understand wisdom is to know God better. This is what God showed them:
3 Never let loyalty and faithfulness leave you.
Tie them around your neck;
write them on the tablet of your heart.
Proverbs 3:4
4 Then you will find favor and high regard
with God and people.
But some Bibles have this written differently
3 Let love and faithfulness never leave you;
bind them around your neck,
write them on the tablet of your heart.
3 Let not mercy and truth forsake you;
Bind them around your neck,
Write them on the tablet of your heart,
3 Let not kindness and fidelity leave you;
bind them around your neck;
AHHH!
AHHH!
Is it Loyalty and Faithfulness; Love and Faithfulness; Mercy and Truth; Kindness and Fidelity?
Is it Loyalty and Faithfulness; Love and Faithfulness; Mercy and Truth; Kindness and Fidelity?

This is what it really is

Sometimes what one language can say in a word, other languages have to use many words to describe which can make reading very awkward. I looked it up because we have the same thing in English, these come from the people of clearwordstranslations.com
Jinx’ – it has no equivalent in Polish. To translate this word, you need to say “something that brings bad luck.”
‘Free’ – from available and absolute, to without limit or without charge, this word can have a wide range of meanings. Which makes it almost impossible to translate it without using its synonyms. No other language has a word as rich to describe the meaning ‘free’ has. French, for example, has ‘libre’ (meaning available) or ‘gratuit’ (meaning at no cost), with synonyms. But, in most cases, translators need context to understand which meaning of ‘free’ to relate to.
‘Serendipity’ – there are words to say lucky find, coincidence or accident, but none of them explains the meaning of serendipity correctly. You’ve got to be native English to understand what this word means. As a matter of fact, this is often voted as one of the hardest words to translate from English.
So good news I studied with those who are experts in Hebrew to English translation and want to help you unwrap the meaning that one Bible translates as
3 Never let loyalty and faithfulness leave you.
Tie them around your neck;
write them on the tablet of your heart.
Lexham Hebrew Bible Chapter 3

a. Hesed is translated as loyalty.
1. One of the most important in all of scripture.
2. The word has a total sense of
Hesed = “strength,” “steadfastness,” and “love.”
Hesed = “strength,” “steadfastness,” and “love.”
3. It is not a blind loyalty, not ride or die. If your friend kills steals from someone and you see them do it you do nothing, when your friend beats you, you get mad at them but you go back, when your friend does wrong, your sticking with them and up for them no matter what. That’s ride or die. It is Not HESED.
4. Hesed is love that can be counted on, take it to the bank counted on to do the right thing even when it hurts and takes all the strength in the world to carry through. Hesed is the person you can trust.
5. Hesed happens between two beings. The stronger person willingly submits to something they don’t have to and the weaker understands that there is no reason that the stronger does so but by their choice. The weaker realizes this is a relationship that must be protected. And none see the relationship as something that can be misused.
6. It’s rare because often we see people take advantage of those who are loyal to them. Use them, keep them in the dark so people think more highly of them. They take ride or die as ride and use you up until I can’t get anything from you and then blame you for leaving.
7. God loves us with Hesed. The Hesed of God is what is shown as God constantly offering his loving kindness to us, with full knowledge of what we have done. Yet also not enabling us. His love and favor are available to all but only received by those who come honestly and with intention to follow Him.
Hesed (mrs. Frances and the young pregnant girl)
6 I’m after love that lasts, not more religion.
I want you to know God, not go to more prayer meetings.
Hesed of a teacher lady
Hesed is not blind or naive to situations and just so we understand what kind of loyal love this is, the Hebrew word Hesed is teamed up with another important word.

וֶאֱמֶ֗ת
וֶאֱמֶ֗ת
Ve, Emet
2. Emet is the Hebrew word for truth and Emet is the name of the Lego Movie hero. The word Emmet is also valued so much in Hebrew that in later fictional stories outside the Bible the word is written on inanimate objects to make them come alive. In the lego movie Emmet searches for the truth of the Kragel and then discovers a bigger truth in the process about the reality of life, teamwork, freedom, creativity and parents.
3. The ancient biblical meaning of The word
Emet = truth, right, reliable, always faithful to being true.
Emet = truth, right, reliable, always faithful to being true.
When combined they mean they take on a loving loyal to always be on the side of truth and rightness. Hesed and Emet looks for inner integrity that manifests itself in all interactions with God and people
most commonly associated with checed is ˒emet (“fidelity; reliability”): “… Let thy loving-kindness [checed] and thy truth [˒emet] continually preserve me.”
The trouble is the direction with "never" and to what should you be loyal and faithful.

חֶ֥סֶד וֶאֱמֶ֗ת
When you go to God His answer, his way will always be right and true even when it may not make people happy, may be hard, and may be slow.
Hesed and Emet looks for inner integrity that manifests itself in all interactions with God and people
King David in the Bible was named to be King as a child, the problem was there was already a King named by God who thought he would annoit his son King. David livid with Hesed and Emet to God and to his king. He had to wait through the King trying to kill him and stealing from him, David tried to nothing back until God eliminated both the king and his son.
most commonly associated with checed is ˒emet (“fidelity; reliability”): “… Let thy loving-kindness [checed] and thy truth [˒emet] continually preserve me.”
Even in game of thrones we see someone live with Hesed and Emet all the way up to the very end, John Snow. Its a fictional world, but we are drawn to him because he puts the people he rules above himself.
Jesus showed us in his life living completely with Hesed and Emet.
3 Never let loyalty and faithfulness leave you.
Tie them around your neck;
write them on the tablet of your heart.
4 Then you will find favor and high regard
with God and people.
The trouble is the direction with "never" let them leave you. That’s really hard. David didn’t always live with loyalty and faithfulness.
The trouble is the direction with "never" and to what should you be loyal and faithful.
The trouble is the direction with "never" and to what should you be loyal and faithful.
The proverb says we have to work at it by using a metaphor.

A tablet
made from clay that would get hardened in a furnance
fragile and important.
Figure of speech today we might say tattoo it on yourself.
What would your life be like if it was marked by your amazing ability to stay true, to be steadfast, to love what is right?
A person who can be counted on to be right, on the side of right.
The measure of a man’s real character is what he would do, if he knew he would never be found out.

Hesed and Emet are formed when no one is watching and everyone is watching. They are formed before something happens.
Jesus said
Again Loyalty and faithfulness; Hesed and Emet
37 But let your ‘yes’ mean ‘yes,’ and your ‘no’ mean ‘no.’ Anything more than this is from the evil one.
Tan, Paul Lee. Encyclopedia of 7700 Illustrations: Signs of the Times. Garland, TX: Bible Communications, Inc., 1996. Print.A person who can be counted on to be right, on the side of right.
To be the person who lives with a kind of truth and love you can take to the bank.
David would not destroy or wound the king even though the king wanted to kill him.
Again Loyalty and faithfulness; Hesed and Emet
So the who should you be loyal to?
John Snow delivering his people from a would be hero, who in hindsight was only for people who were for her.
How does God show you loyalty?
Do you imagine that God would take your side because you claim God?
Sir, my concern is not whether God is on our side; my greatest concern is to be on God's side, for God is always right. - Abraham Lincoln
This is what people should now about you. Not that you are loyal to them as a person but That you are loyal to right.
I've struggled horrifically because I fight being more loyal to self and my feelings than what is right. Sometimes when I hurt I want to make people feel the pain that I feel, the disappointment and hurt that comes alongside walking with others through their disloyalty.
It is easy to be Hesed and Emet to those whom being loyal brings benefit. Being loyal to right when it costs, that is when loyalty is formed.
It is easy to be Hesed and Emet to those whom being loyal brings benefit. Being loyal to right when it costs, that is when loyalty is formed.
Being loyal to right when it costs, that is when loyalty is formed. Jesus shows us loyalty to those who were disloyal.
Jesus shows us loyalty to those who were disloyal.
But loyal love happens when you have to figure out how do I do what is right when those who I am loving around are so wrong.
When we stop asking how can I get people to be loyal and faithful to me? How can I protect myself from saddness and being hurt by others?
Hesed and Emet call for sacrifice for the ideal of right and truth rather than self preservation.
In fact Hesed and Emet are the exact opposite of self-preservation.
We live in a world of protect your own - family, group, tribe, whatever. Where the faults of others are pointed out unless they are part of our group.
Right ends up lower than the love of the group.
It can be said that the Catholic priests and bishops in their coverup of child abuse where extremely loyal but lost track of right, of God's love for all including the victims of sin.
We often call out the lack of love in others but refrain from looking in the mirror. Perhaps we need to look first to whether we are on God's side when we feel all alone. Still could be, that sometimes God side is very lonely
We do love for others to hold us in high regard and favor that's why people love dogs.

But Hesed and Emet are why and how People get thought of as right, strong, proud.
But what about when you know your not loyal to right, when your loyal to self. (forgiveness)
The apostle Peter was Jesus best friend.
ON the night Judas betrayed Jesus, Peter cut a man’s ear off trying to be loyal but Jesus said he didn’t come for that.
When Jesus was on trial Peter stayed loyal and followed
But when Jesus was being mistreated in trial, Peter was asked if he knew Jesus and three times he was asked and each time he denied that he ever knew Jesus to save His own skin. He was not Hesed and Emet. He lied and was disloyal to save his own skin.
So what did Jesus do.
After Jesus was resurrected he had a conversation with Peter. Where he asked him 3 times If Peter loves Jesus. Peter said yes.
Jesus gave him his further mission in life, gave him purpose, restored him to a higher position, it was based on Jesus’ forgiveness and Peter’s love that in the end was willing to die for Jesus.
This kind of love is what it means to be a follower of Christ, to take on the attitude of Christ.
3 Never let loyalty and faithfulness leave you.
Tie them around your neck;
write them on the tablet of your heart.
The attitude of Christ is Hesed and Emmet. Do youknow how to have Hesed and Emet in your life, today, with the people around you?

No? Well good news
What would your life be like if it was marked by your amazing ability to stay true, to be steadfast, to love what is right?
9 and then he told me,
My grace is enough; it’s all you need.
My strength comes into its own in your weakness.
Once I heard that, I was glad to let it happen. I quit focusing on the handicap and began appreciating the gift. It was a case of Christ’s strength moving in on my weakness. 10 Now I take limitations in stride, and with good cheer, these limitations that cut me down to size—abuse, accidents, opposition, bad breaks. I just let Christ take over! And so the weaker I get, the stronger I become.

But loyal love happens when you have to figure out how do I do what is right when those who I am loving around are so wrong.
6 For I desire faithful love and not sacrifice,
the knowledge of God rather than burnt offerings.
How can I get people to be loyal and faithful to me? How can I protect myself from saddness and being hurt by others?

We often call out the lack of love in others but refrain from the mirror. Perhaps we need to look first to whether we are on God's side when we feel all alone. Still could be, sometimes God side is very lonely
God wants genuineness, not extra work
We live in a world of protect your own - family, group, tribe, whatever. Where the faults of others are pointed out unless they are part of our group.

People often want to be thought of as right, strong, proud.
10 So I take pleasure in weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and in difficulties, for the sake of Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
2 Cor
Yet where I am weak, He is strong.
Yet where I am weak, He is strong.
Jesus had Hesed and Emet so much that He can love and change you, a person who may have no one who admires you. You can be a totally different person beginning today.
God’s power is made perfect in weakness. This Hesed and Emet are our goal because we are making our attitudes like that of Christ Jesus. It is not how I feel, it is who God is making me to be. Like all discipline it hurts but there is favor and high regard from God and others in the end.
