Welcome to the 1st step of THE Kingdom Way Jouney
Where God has given us the pathway to help people get from living for self to living for Jesus
I want to start off by thanking Pastor Trevor for all the work he has done putting this together.
Shawn Bolz prophesy reminds me that God wants to make His vision a reality. And Trevor has played a massive role in seeing this vision come to be.
Step 1 Love God
Step 2 Love People
Step 3 Make disciples
The 1st step to living for Jesus is one of the most neglected steps.
a large percentage of self professing Christians skip it all together or just honor it in names sake.
What am I talking about.
Step 1a
Love God
In order to grow we need to breathe…

1. Abiding with Holy Spirit
Maybe its just the social media age that brought this to the forefront
but I have seen more anti-holy spirit soap boxes than ever before.
How many of you have heard of the kundalini Spirit?
Is a big part of Yoga . The kundalini “awakening” which is a goal for people who practice Yoga is nothing more than an invitation for demonic possession.
A kundalini spirit is a Holy Spirit copy cat. It mimics Holy Spirit.
yes it is very evil. I have dealt with several over the years doing deliverance.
But I have noticed a disturbing trend increasing.
A segment of christians label any action they are not comfortable with as an acts of kundalini.
they believe kundalini has infiltrated the church and controls charasmatic circles
They reject the work and effort of Holy Spirit and label it as demonic.
Believe that’s a little far fetched? Well we’ve had people leave this church on that reason.
The simple fact is this. the are many people who claim to be christians but openly reject the operation of Holy Spirit
Why?
Well they never have been discipled. They may have said the prayer. attended a church for years, even taught Sunday school.
Let’s take a look at what it means to be Abiding with Holy Spirit.
Jesus could have told his disciples. I died....I rose again.... I spent 3 years teaching you everything you need to know. Some guys are going to create the NT soon. go spread my message.....Your on your own… while I’m gone, spread the gospel around the world…
PS be back soon!
“And behold, I am sending forth the promise of My Father upon you; but you are to stay in the city until you are clothed with power from on high.”
Gathering them together, He commanded them not to leave Jerusalem, but to wait for what the Father had promised, “Which,” He said, “you heard of from Me;
Jesus taught them alot, but still told them to wait for Holy Spirit.
“But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said to you.
Have you ever heard God “speak” to you?
This is the basics of relational Christianity.
without direct communication with God you are relagated to a religious experience
So what is the Holy Spirits role here on earth?

Holy Spirit is our helper
“But I tell you the truth, it is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I go, I will send Him to you.
He is our Cleaner
Such were some of you; but you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of our God.
He is our Teacher
“But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said to you.
makes us more like Christ
But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit.
helps us do the Father’s will
Then the Spirit said to Philip, “Go up and join this chariot.”
gifts us for ministry
Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit.
And there are varieties of ministries, and the same Lord.
There are varieties of effects, but the same God who works all things in all persons.
But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good.
For to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, and to another the word of knowledge according to the same Spirit;
to another faith by the same Spirit, and to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit,
and to another the effecting of miracles, and to another prophecy, and to another the distinguishing of spirits, to another various kinds of tongues, and to another the interpretation of tongues.
But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually just as He wills.
imparts love
And not only this, but we also exult in our tribulations, knowing that tribulation brings about perseverance;
and perseverance, proven character; and proven character, hope;
and hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.
gives us hope
Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you will abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
guides our prayers
In the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words;
empowers us to witness
but you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth.”
He is God on earth, so it’s tough to sum up everything He does here on earth.
But the truth you need to know is that you can be in connection with Him each and every day. All day. All the time.
While Jesus was on earth as a man, he operated through the power of Holy Spirit. not in His own power.
Jesus showed us by operating through Holy Spirit how we can live the Spirit filled life
Jesus did it.
Jesus only said what He heard the Father say
“For I did not speak on My own initiative, but the Father Himself who sent Me has given Me a commandment as to what to say and what to speak.
He only did what He saw the Father do
Therefore Jesus answered and was saying to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, unless it is something He sees the Father doing; for whatever the Father does, these things the Son also does in like manner.
It’s our goal to be like Him and live that way. It’s something we grow into.
It doesn’t just happen. like fruit it has to grow
For now, you need to know you can “hear” the Father’s voice. This is usually not an audible voice. It’s more often a still, quiet voice; a deeper knowing; a thought that is smarter than we can come up with on our own.
This is how God the Holy Spirit communicates with us
“For it seemed good to the Holy Spirit and to us to lay upon you no greater burden than these essentials:
The tool we have for you is one that will show you how close you already are to Him.
The more you use it, the more you test it, the more you’ll know you “hear” Holy Spirit.

Conversational Journaling
Conversational Journaling
Conversational journaling reads more like the dialogue in a novel than it does a biography or checklist.
There’s no planning in Conversational Journaling and writing tends to become more profound and much deeper than what you can come up with on your own.
Here’s a few simple steps to start conversational journaling:
Take a journal and write out a question.
Fix your thoughts on Jesus and the love of the Father.
Suddenly you’ll have a good thought.
Write it down.
Write whatever comes to your mind in response to your question write it down.
Do this free-flow, don’t edit it. What you write can be tested later to make sure it lines up with Scripture.
Ask another question. Write down the good thought you have in response.
What occurs is a two-way conversation between a loving Father and child.
Don’t be afraid that all these good answers are coming from you.
First, I’ll wager they’ll be better than you think you can come up with on your own.
They still may be coming from you, but don’t worry - you have the mind of Christ
For who has known the mind of the Lord, that he will instruct Him? But we have the mind of Christ.
We are seated in heavenly places
and raised us up with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,
We are sheep that know the shepherd’s voice
“My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me;
We have the Kingdom of God within us
nor will they say, ‘Look, here it is!’ or, ‘There it is!’ For behold, the kingdom of God is in your midst.”
How to Test What You Conversationally Journal
How to Test What You Conversationally Journal
I’m not saying you’re infallible and I’m not suggesting you shouldn’t test and confirm what God is telling you.
We’re not under the law where if a prophecy didn’t come about you’d be stoned.
Under grace we seem to be allowed to make mistakes since Paul tells us to “Test everything and hold to the good”
But examine everything carefully; hold fast to that which is good;
You can test what you’ve written by:
The Word of God:
It can’t be contrary to the will of God in Scripture.
(Hebrews 4:12; 1 Corinthians 14:37; Isaiah 8:19-20; 1 Timothy 6:3; 2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 John 1:7-11)
The Witness of the Spirit:
It needs to “seem good to us” and others.
(1 John 2:27; 1 Corinthians 2:15)
By its Fruit :
Does it edify? Does it produce life? Is it clear or confusing?
(1 Corinthians 14:4; John 6:68; 1 Corinthians 14:33)
You test what you write against the cannon of Scripture and major decisions you come to should be confirmed by a spiritual father or mother.
Conversational Journalling is a valuable tool to learn how to hear God for a specific situation. And to have hope in transition, you need to wait on God, expecting He’ll speak.
Because He will. He’s your dad. Your Father is good and He’s in a good mood and He loves giving good gifts to you.
