Words are so powerful, they can speak life into someone or they can destroy someone.
What is Gossip: Gossip is a casual conversation or reports about other people, typically involving details that are not confirmed as being true.

Because words have such an impact
No foul language is to come from your mouth, but only what is good for building up someone in need, so that it gives grace to those who hear.

There is a time to speak and a time to be silent.
Part of being wise with our words is knowing when not to use them.
Share story about the time I stole supervisors cart and ran mouth when I should have kept my mouth shut.
When you feeling like gossiping keep silent.
Keep your mouth shut - be silent.

Words are an expression of what is in our hearts.
Time when I used gossip to hurt others.
I am totally afraid of jail, so new I could lay hands on someone, what I would do is spread hate about someone.
“Either make the tree good and its fruit good, or make the tree bad and its fruit bad; for a tree is known by its fruit.
Brood of vipers! How can you speak good things when you are evil? For the mouth speaks from the overflow of the heart.
A good man produces good things from his storeroom of good, and an evil man produces evil things from his storeroom of evil.

Jesus calls us to be the salt and light of the earth, we need to act like it.
Instead of focusing on my insecurity, fear, envy or whatever; I focus on how Jesus would handle the situation.
Gossip is a “me first” attitude
Jesus is a “others first” attitude
Lead into this for the end.
For those of yall that have been hurt stop holding on to it, bitterness has already done enough damage in your life. Its time to forgive so you can move on with your life and you will better be able to see what Christ has in store when you let go and let Jesus take it.
