Rescued Psalm 911 Part 3
The LORD says, "I will rescue those who love Me.
I will protect those who trust in My name.
When they call on Me, I will answer; I will be with them in trouble.
I will rescue and honor them.
I will reward them with a long life and give them My salvation."

Denomination: Evangelical/Non-Denominational
Summary: The comprehensiveness of God's protection.
A PSALM OF TRUST IN RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD
Verses 1-2
The opening verse of this Psalm seems to state the obvious: “those who take their shelter under the Most High are sheltered by the shadow of the Almighty” ().
There is a reason for this turn of speech: even those who are deemed ‘the people of the LORD’ are at best rebellious children, and struggle against His parental protection
"O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the city that kills the prophets and stones God's messengers!
How often I have wanted to gather your children together as a hen protects her chicks beneath her wings, but you wouldn't let Me.
If you are truly trusting in God, then be at peace: stop struggling to get out of the nest!
If you are truly trusting in God, then be at peace: stop struggling to get out of the nest!
Quiet faith snuggles in, and takes assurance in the LORD:
This I declare about the LORD: He alone is my refuge, my place of safety; He is my God, and I trust Him
Just a few words in there that I want to touch up on.
Alone, my, refuge, place of safety.
First word is alone.
I want you to know today that God is true, true to Himself and true to you.
You are not in this by yourself, and all you need is God.
All honor and glory to God forever and ever!
He is the eternal King, the unseen One who never dies; he alone is God.
Amen.
When all go wrong and your back is in the corner, God is all you need!
When you feel like your closest friend in this world has betrayed you, God has not, He is all you need!
When reports are bad and no help in sight, man can’t help you, know this God alone in all you need.
He Alone, He Alone.
(3) You learn that there are members of the family not involved in your trouble who yet are deeply and affectionately interested in your safety: "He shall give His angels charge over thee," etc
Some nations boast of their chariots and horses, but we boast in the name of the LORD our God.
Those nations will fall down and collapse, but we will rise up and stand firm.
The next word is MY
Web.
Definition for My is belonging to me.
Can I tell you that when we say the Lord is a refuge, the Lord is a place of safety.
That doesn’t bring must comfort to me.
You see, that is a statement of fact, that is good information, but the game changer that bring comfort is My refuge, my place of safety.
The LORD is my shepherd; I have all that I need.
The LORD is my shepherd; I have all that I need.
The Psalmist goes on to write:
As if it were not enough to call the Lord my refuge and my place of safety, or King James put it :fortress, he adds, “My God I in him will I trust.”
Now he can say no more; “my God” means all, and more than all, that heart can conceive by way of security.
It was most greatest words that he should say My God “in him will I trust.”
We have trusted in God let us trust Him still.
He has never failed us, why then should we suspect him to do it now?
We ought to place our confidence without hesitancy or wavering.
We should pray for grace to say, My God“In him will I trust.”
Third word is refuge.
Third word is refuge.
Refuge means a place of hope, shelter, and trust.
Put your hope in the LORD.
Travel steadily along His path.
He will honor you by giving you the land.
You will see the wicked destroyed.
The word hope is so powerful!! Say it with me HOPE!!
Did you know that the word hope is define as a sloping plain between mountain ridges.
Could this be a valley of rest before you take on the mountain?
Think about this could it that God is saying just sit down here and take a break, That mountain is not as big and you think rest in Me.
And have confidence in Me, we are going over the mountain!!!
The Lord is a place of shelter and trust that you can run to and drop that heavy loads.
Then Jesus said, "Come to Me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.
Take My yoke upon you.
Let Me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
For My yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light."
I love this verse listen to:
I am counting on the LORD; yes, I am counting on Him.
I have put my hope in His word.
Psa_130:5 I am counting on the LORD; yes, I am counting on Him.
I have put my hope in His word.
Can I tell you one more times:
This I declare about the LORD: He alone is my refuge, my place of safety; He is my God, and I trust Him
Then when we look on down in , we find the writer telling about some personal experience of God keeping power.
How traps were always being set to entangle him.
And we know they did it to Jesus and the servant is not greater than his Lord.
Instead, you must worship Christ as Lord of your life.
And if someone asks about your Christian hope, always be ready to explain it.
But do this in a gentle and respectful way.
Keep your conscience clear.
Then if people speak against you, they will be ashamed when they see what a good life you live because you belong to Christ.
Then the writer continue talks in — About Christians and persecution.
Verses 3-6
Whether understood literally or metaphorically, the examples in the middle of the Psalm stand as a testimony of the comprehensiveness of God’s protection.
The “snare of the fowler” () could represent the traps that people lay in order to catch Christians in their words.
They did it to Jesus, and ‘the servant is not greater than his Lord’ ().
‘Always be ready to give an account of the hope that is within you’ ().
“Deadly pestilence” () could be translated as ‘noisome words’ – slander perhaps?
Whichever way, God’s cover reaches far beyond that of the mother bird of .
It is greater than any insurance policy that you might buy for yourself: put your trust here and His faithfulness (truth) will be your defence.
