What is the big difference from people that walk passionately and those who don’t. Passion is one of those things that you can probably tell from someone without an explanation. It is just part of who they are. We all have our different likes and dislikes, all of us humans probably have something to we love to do or are passionate for. We might all be passionate about something, but it not so easy to find a person who is passionate about life itself. What are the ingredients of a passionate life?
Is Passion Happiness? It most certainly is not, because sometimes you are willing to do what you are most passionate about even if it costs you. Happiness is something that comes and goes. The idea of happiness has to do a lot with our happenings, our circumstances, and situations. What makes a person walk and live passionately? Passionately living is meaningful living. If this one of the keys to living passionately, then how do we find meaning?
2 “Everything is meaningless,” says the Teacher, “completely meaningless!”
3 What do people get for all their hard work under the sun?
4 Generations come and generations go, but the earth never changes.
5 The sun rises and the sun sets, then hurries around to rise again.
6 The wind blows south, and then turns north. Around and around it goes, blowing in circles.
7 Rivers run into the sea, but the sea is never full. Then the water returns again to the rivers and flows out again to the sea.
8 Everything is wearisome beyond description. No matter how much we see, we are never satisfied. No matter how much we hear, we are not content.
9 History merely repeats itself. It has all been done before. Nothing under the sun is truly new.
Is Everything Meaningless?
Is Everything Meaningless?
Could it be that everything is truly meaningless? How is the Bible telling us that everything in this life is really meaningless. Perhaps you thought that the Bible only spoke of hope, of good things. The bible is really a book about reality. It does not paint a picture of what you want to here, but a picture of the truth. If it is a picture of truth, is this point correct? The answer is Yes and NO. Let’s dive deeper in this question by looking at Ecclesiastes.
Everything is Meaningless Under the Sun
Everything is Meaningless Under the Sun
1 I said to myself, “Come on, let’s try pleasure. Let’s look for the ‘good things’ in life.” But I found that this, too, was meaningless.
2 So I said, “Laughter is silly. What good does it do to seek pleasure?”
3 After much thought, I decided to cheer myself with wine. And while still seeking wisdom, I clutched at foolishness. In this way, I tried to experience the only happiness most people find during their brief life in this world.
4 I also tried to find meaning by building huge homes for myself and by planting beautiful vineyards.
5 I made gardens and parks, filling them with all kinds of fruit trees.
6 I built reservoirs to collect the water to irrigate my many flourishing groves.
7 I bought slaves, both men and women, and others were born into my household. I also owned large herds and flocks, more than any of the kings who had lived in Jerusalem before me.
8 I collected great sums of silver and gold, the treasure of many kings and provinces. I hired wonderful singers, both men and women, and had many beautiful concubines. I had everything a man could desire!
9 So I became greater than all who had lived in Jerusalem before me, and my wisdom never failed me.
10 Anything I wanted, I would take. I denied myself no pleasure. I even found great pleasure in hard work, a reward for all my labors.
11 But as I looked at everything I had worked so hard to accomplish, it was all so meaningless—like chasing the wind. There was nothing really worthwhile anywhere.

A Passionate Life is a Meaningful Life
Solomon the author of this book is thought to be the wisest man in the whole world during this time, and these are the words that he is being inspired to write. Is it that he was depressed while writing this, or is he hinting at something more important. He mentions many things that usually humans try to find happiness in like.
Everything is Meaningless Under the Sun
Everything is Meaningless “Under the Sun”
Everything is Meaningless “Under the Sun”
It is used 29 throughout the whole book.
What this phrase “under the sun” mean? It means an earthly perspective. A perspective focused merely on the physical things. A very human and limited perspective of life without God. That is why it all becomes meaningless. In this book we see even the things that you think are worth some happiness, are actually nothing without God in them.
Pleasure is Meaningless
Even the laughs and comedy are meaningless. Can not help but think of a man like Robin Williams, who perhaps made people laugh on a daily basis. A man who dedicated his life for comedy ended up finding life to be meaningless as well.
Had everything a man could desire and still he considered it futile.
Knowledge is Meaningless
He is considered the wisest, but in this moment he considers his wisdom futile.
He probably had the equivalent of five PhD's in today’s time and yet he considered it meaningless, because he would die in the same way that the foolish would.
Work is Meaningless
Absolutely all the things I gather, all things i work on will literally rot one day. All that I leave behind is probably going to be managed by a fool.
All of it is Meaningless “Under the Sun”
All of it is Meaningless “Under the Sun”
Why am I telling you this. You will not be able to ever live a passionate meaningful life with God in it. People try to avoid him, and try to find happiness in all the things that we talked about, but passionate and meaningful living only comes through God, Jesus Christ.
In a book that is generally pessimistic about life, we find a section were he talks about the value of a friend, the value of people in life. Why? Why is it that is the only thing “under the sun” that still hold its value. It is because people is God’s greatest passion.
The only thing that was truly something that he did not find meaningless is People. He was talking so negatively about everything, but when it came people he actually talked positively. He was talking about the value of having a friend. Why is it that is the only thing “under the sun” that still hold its value. It is because people is God’s greatest passion.
The passion of God is revealed through his Son Jesus Christ.

Jesus is the Ultimate Example of living this Meaningful Life.
Jesus Christ is the greatest example of a Passionate life a life that was full of meaning. He is the representation of the Passion God has for his people.
His greatest desire was to save you from the meaningless life. All he wanted was for you realize your meaning in this life. He was willing to go the extreme of even dying to show you that with him this life is worth living.

Unfortunately, that movie only depicts partially everything that Jesus did for you.
