Main point/question - Who has your allegiance?

Me

This last week I have been reminded of the reality that we are getting closer to the second coming of Jesus!
There has been so much that has happened in our world in this last month, and even the last week!
hurricane
earthquakes
Washington
There is a call from the Pope for the world to come together May 14 for a global pact
There is a lot happening in the World
This has reminded me how important it is to place my Allegiance with God and not the enemy!

We

We have gone through some important informations with these beatitudes haven’t we?

Review beatitudes

Main point/question - Who has your allegiance?

Matthew 5:10–12 NKJV
Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, For theirs is the kingdom of heaven. “Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake. Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.
Matthew 5:10-12
Daniel 3:1–2 ESV
King Nebuchadnezzar made an image of gold, whose height was sixty cubits and its breadth six cubits. He set it up on the plain of Dura, in the province of Babylon. Then King Nebuchadnezzar sent to gather the satraps, the prefects, and the governors, the counselors, the treasurers, the justices, the magistrates, and all the officials of the provinces to come to the dedication of the image that King Nebuchadnezzar had set up.
Daniel 3:1-
The world will always set up what is contrary to the Bible
The king here tries to defy God and change what God had established
Daniel 3:4–7 ESV
And the herald proclaimed aloud, “You are commanded, O peoples, nations, and languages, that when you hear the sound of the horn, pipe, lyre, trigon, harp, bagpipe, and every kind of music, you are to fall down and worship the golden image that King Nebuchadnezzar has set up. And whoever does not fall down and worship shall immediately be cast into a burning fiery furnace.” Therefore, as soon as all the peoples heard the sound of the horn, pipe, lyre, trigon, harp, bagpipe, and every kind of music, all the peoples, nations, and languages fell down and worshiped the golden image that King Nebuchadnezzar had set up.
If you were there what is the problem with this command?
Every day we face important decisions, and the choices we make must be based on the Bible
Daniel 3:8 ESV
Therefore at that time certain Chaldeans came forward and maliciously accused the Jews.
the beatitude mentioned that there would be those that speak against you, and that is what is happening here.
Maybe this happens at home, or at work, or throughout the day.
Daniel 3:
Daniel 3:12–15 ESV
There are certain Jews whom you have appointed over the affairs of the province of Babylon: Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. These men, O king, pay no attention to you; they do not serve your gods or worship the golden image that you have set up.” Then Nebuchadnezzar in furious rage commanded that Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego be brought. So they brought these men before the king. Nebuchadnezzar answered and said to them, “Is it true, O Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, that you do not serve my gods or worship the golden image that I have set up? Now if you are ready when you hear the sound of the horn, pipe, lyre, trigon, harp, bagpipe, and every kind of music, to fall down and worship the image that I have made, well and good. But if you do not worship, you shall immediately be cast into a burning fiery furnace. And who is the god who will deliver you out of my hands?”
They had a second chance
what would they do?
what would you do?
Daniel 3:16–18 ESV
Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego answered and said to the king, “O Nebuchadnezzar, we have no need to answer you in this matter. If this be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of your hand, O king. But if not, be it known to you, O king, that we will not serve your gods or worship the golden image that you have set up.”
what an incredible answer they give clearly their allegiance was with God
Daniel 3:19–23 ESV
Then Nebuchadnezzar was filled with fury, and the expression of his face was changed against Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. He ordered the furnace heated seven times more than it was usually heated. And he ordered some of the mighty men of his army to bind Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, and to cast them into the burning fiery furnace. Then these men were bound in their cloaks, their tunics, their hats, and their other garments, and they were thrown into the burning fiery furnace. Because the king’s order was urgent and the furnace overheated, the flame of the fire killed those men who took up Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. And these three men, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, fell bound into the burning fiery furnace.
It is easy to think in situations like this that they should have just bowed down, what good is it for them to be thrown into the fire?
Maybe there are times we have made decisions that weren't the best because we were worried about the consequences
Maybe there are times that we struggled to trust Jesus with our lives and decisions
Lets look at what happens to these three that put there life into the hands of their creator
Daniel 3:24–25 ESV
Then King Nebuchadnezzar was astonished and rose up in haste. He declared to his counselors, “Did we not cast three men bound into the fire?” They answered and said to the king, “True, O king.” He answered and said, “But I see four men unbound, walking in the midst of the fire, and they are not hurt; and the appearance of the fourth is like a son of the gods.”
Jesus was right with them in the midst of the fire!
think about that

So why are we talking about this story from the past?

what does it have to do with us today?
Revelation 13:11–12 NKJV
Then I saw another beast coming up out of the earth, and he had two horns like a lamb and spoke like a dragon. And he exercises all the authority of the first beast in his presence, and causes the earth and those who dwell in it to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.
Revelation 13:13–14 NKJV
He performs great signs, so that he even makes fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men. And he deceives those who dwell on the earth—by those signs which he was granted to do in the sight of the beast, telling those who dwell on the earth to make an image to the beast who was wounded by the sword and lived.
Like king Neb sets up an image in here we have a new image
Revalation 13:13-14
like there is fire shown as a motivator in we have fire here as well
13:13-14
Revelation 13:15–16 NKJV
He was granted power to give breath to the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak and cause as many as would not worship the image of the beast to be killed. He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads,
In we have a death decree for those who don’t follow the world, and here we have the same thing
But just as we saw hope in there is hope in this message
Revelation 14:1–3 ESV
Then I looked, and behold, on Mount Zion stood the Lamb, and with him 144,000 who had his name and his Father’s name written on their foreheads. And I heard a voice from heaven like the roar of many waters and like the sound of loud thunder. The voice I heard was like the sound of harpists playing on their harps, and they were singing a new song before the throne and before the four living creatures and before the elders. No one could learn that song except the 144,000 who had been redeemed from the earth.
Jesus is still with those who go through the fire, and who choose to stand

"Eighty and six years have I served Christ, nor has He ever done me any harm. How, then, could I blaspheme my King who saved me?
