God gives us instruction concerning how, specifically He is to be worshipped.

We’re to not regard them as something strange are we?

We’re not to do anything otherwise are we?

If we had no bible’s tonight but found out that there was one copy…in China.

There was the book that God had written by the inspiration of His own Spirit

His own counsel, His own will was written in it.

His will concerning the eternal destinies of mankind,

if we should hear that such a book has come down from heaven, oh what longing desire we’d have to see it and read it!

Wouldn’t you give a months pay to spend a week reading it for yourself?

But look at us? We’ve all got one tonight!

The very book wherein the great God has written His mind,

He has written all things to us which concerns our eternal salvation,

is that same which you have in your hands.

However do we treasure it?

How many American Christian have such superficial and shallow views of God

How many have to confess, I really don’t know this book very well?

“Though I were to write...”

Not the prophet, but God!

Like a father to his child, saying I want you to do such and such please!

It’s more weightier than if a fellow employee said, “The boss wants you to do such and such!”

The word “him” is singular.

It’s written to us individually as well!

We’re to each regard the scripture as being written to us personally! "Your word is a lamp for my feet and a light on my path.” ()

It’s not a light that I see at a distance! It’s a light held by my feet so that I can order my steps appropriately!

“they would be regarded as something strange.”

There’s the wickedness of the people!

they would be regarded as something strange.”

You could think it strange, when you’re sitting there saying in your heart, “This doesn’t even apply to me!”

These people never took to heart that fact that they had breached God’s Word, nor

did they regard keeping God’s Word as a big deal either!
