Judges: The Failed New Generation
I. Introduction
In contemporary worship songs we hear a lot about the “new generation” that is rising up.
It is always pointed to as a good thing.
But is it?
Sometimes the arrival of a new generation is not a good thing at all.
And that is exactly what we see in the book of Judges
Background: At the end of his life Joshua is warning Israel against idolatry because he is already seeing it creep in.
By the time we get to the next generation after him idolatry in Israel is full blown.
