“Where were you when I laid the foundations of the earth? Declare, if you have understanding. (5) Who determined its measures, if you know? Or who stretched the line on it? As Jesus came up out of the water and was praying, He saw the skies opened and the Holy Spirit of God descended on Him in the bodily form of a dove and rested on Him. And a voice came from heaven: “You are My Son, the beloved, the Son of My love. In You I always take great delight!” M, M,L

Hebrews 12:2 NIV

2 fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Looking away from things, look toward Jesus, the author and completer of our faith, who endured the cross, having despised shame, in exchange for the joy laying before Him, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Behold, my servant will deal wisely. He will be exalted and lifted up and will be very high. (14) Just as many were astonished at him, his visage was so marred, more than any man and his form more than the sons of men.

And He Himself will rule them with a rod of iron. He Himself treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. 16 And He has on His robe and on His thigh a name written: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS
