It wasn't easy to be a Christian in Ephesus. With all the pressures to conform to the culture, the easy thing would be to give up on following Jesus. Paul wrote a letter to encourage them to know that they did not choose this path, God chose it for them. Because of the grace of God through Jesus, they could be ambassadors of peace, and so can we.
