God’s Holy Word, a Harmonious and unified message of redemption that has been written for us, God’s children.

God’s Life-giving message, the Bible..... It has changed the course of history, reached more people, and transformed more lives than any other other book…EVER.

Scripture, (The Bible) tells us that there are really two realms: the firs is which is seen and the second, the unseen.

God gave us His Word to deliver us from the power of darkness and to translate us into entering into His Light.

Colossians 1:13 NLT
For he has rescued us from the kingdom of darkness and transferred us into the Kingdom of his dear Son,

“For he has rescued us from the kingdom of darkness and transferred us into the Kingdom of his dear Son.”

The Bible reveals the full scope of the Lord’s creative plan for His people. It’s pages tell us the story of our new identity, God’s children.

13For he has rescued us from the kingdom of darkness and transferred us into the Kingdom of his dear Son,

By drinking deeply and regularly from the well of God’s Word, our entire value system changes, it is transformed from temporary to eternal. AMEN!!!

2 Corinthians 4:18 NLT
So we don’t look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever.

The Bible does not tell us to live and learn; It tells us to learn and live.

18So we don’t look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever.

THE PATHWAY TO A BETTER LIFE THROUGH THE READING OF GOD’S HOLY WORD.

6 Reasons to get into the Word, God’s Bible.

1. Nourishment and Growth. Not only written for information but for our “transformation.”

2 Timothy 3:16–17 NLT
All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work.

2. New Priorities and Values. The study of scripture provides us with an eternal value system.

Romans 12:2 NLT
Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.
Romans 12:2

3. Overcoming Temptation. The study of Scripture provides us with both corrective and preventative medicine. (Healing)

1 John 2:15–16 NLT
Do not love this world nor the things it offers you, for when you love the world, you do not have the love of the Father in you. For the world offers only a craving for physical pleasure, a craving for everything we see, and pride in our achievements and possessions. These are not from the Father, but are from this world.
1 john 2

Scripture tells us about the process of temptation, where it comes from and shows us how to deal with it.

4. Guidance for Decision Making. The Bible shows us over and over His (God’s) moral will for practically every area of life. Now think about that. Everything we are going through, God’s Holy Word has the guidance and answers for us on how we need to approach each issue.

Proverbs 1:2–5 NLT
Their purpose is to teach people wisdom and discipline, to help them understand the insights of the wise. Their purpose is to teach people to live disciplined and successful lives, to help them do what is right, just, and fair. These proverbs will give insight to the simple, knowledge and discernment to the young. Let the wise listen to these proverbs and become even wiser. Let those with understanding receive guidance
Psalm 119:105 NLT
Your word is a lamp to guide my feet and a light for my path.

5. Knowledge of God. The Bible is a progressive revelation of the person, plan, character, mind, love, and will of our Creator. There is no way for us to ever expect to know God or His ways if we are not spending time in His word.

6. Knowledge of Ourselves. tells us:

Hebrews 4:12 NLT
For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires.
The Bible cuts below the facade of appearances and exposes our secret motivations and plans. The Holy word reveals areas of self-delusion, and both leads and shows us of our need for change.
James 1:21–25 NLT
So get rid of all the filth and evil in your lives, and humbly accept the word God has planted in your hearts, for it has the power to save your souls. But don’t just listen to God’s word. You must do what it says. Otherwise, you are only fooling yourselves. For if you listen to the word and don’t obey, it is like glancing at your face in a mirror. You see yourself, walk away, and forget what you look like. But if you look carefully into the perfect law that sets you free, and if you do what it says and don’t forget what you heard, then God will bless you for doing it.

AMEN
