Good sense isn’t something that comes naturally because you’re grown. But it is something that comes spiritually because your godly. Grown people still have a inclination to remain stuck in who they are, while godly people strive hard to become who God wants them to be. Grown people dont take no stuff, but God’s people can endure whatever, because in the end, they know God is gonna work things out. They look good in the end. This happens because they know good sense brings glory.

The Nature of Good Sense

What it is?
Discernment. That is using discretion, the trait of judging wisely and objectively.
Understanding
Patience
What it does?
Anger- a strong emotion or feeling that is oriented toward some real or supposed greivance.
It keeps you level-headed
It produces self-control.
The vexation of a fool is known at once, but the prudent ignores an insult.
Whoever is slow to anger has great understanding, but he who has a hasty temper exalts folly.
A hot-tempered man stirs up strife, but he who is slow to anger quiets contention.
Whoever is slow to anger is better than the mighty, and he who rules his spirit than he who takes a city.
It’s better not to say anything at all than to respond to a person whose heart is set on contention.

The Glory of Forgiveness

Glory- splendor, the quality of being magnificent or splendid.
Glory here is also honor.
When a person is honored, it often accompanied by kind words and sometimes a trophy or plaque of some nature.
In many cultures, any sign of disrespect to a man is a challenge to his honor, and he can regain it only by fighting whoever insults him. Here, patience and overlooking slights bring honor to a man.
What is an offense?
Proverbs 25:21–22 ESV
If your enemy is hungry, give him bread to eat, and if he is thirsty, give him water to drink, for you will heap burning coals on his head, and the Lord will reward you.
It is evildoing, a violation of a law or a duty or moral principle.
Proverbs 25:21-22
If your enemy is hungry, give him bread to eat, and if he is thirsty, give him water to drink, for you will heap burning
We have to get some good sense. We have to learn to be patient with one another. We have to learn how to listen, so you can discern a situation and address it with understanding.
We have humble ourselves, so we can overlook some stuff. We have to know honor and glory isn’t in how bad you can make a person look, or make a person feel, but how I can let some stuff for the sake of love, joy, peace, understanding, and glory to God.
