intro story

Intro story:

and intro story

intro story

Last time when we were together we looked at the story of exodus,

the Israelites passing though the Red Sea and how Moses were guiding the Israelites who were often forgetting God’s ways…

We learned from thus story that we can trust and obey God even through difficult wilderness time.

We learned that even when we go through difficult times God is there for us.

And we need to trust and not worry about tomorrow for He will sustain us.

“You see it’s not the truth that you can quote, its not the truth that you know mentally..

..but its the truth that you do that guides your life to its ultimate outcome.”

For He is in control always. We do not need to fear but we need to rejoice, be in Him and be filled with encouragement.

God wants to be with us day in and day out.

Today we will be talking about an “inside Rebellion” that they expressed again.

We got to the point of the story of the Exodus where we can’t no longer ignore.

The fact as God was leading his children out of slavery in Egypt and leading them to the beauty of freedom to the promise land.

They stopped trusting him, they started pushing back, they said “no, I want to do things my way.:

“I want it my way” Many times we are also tempted to do it our way, that our way is better,...

that we know best and we go ahead of God don’t we.

We may not know but we have many “I want it my way” moments.

they exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator-who is forever praised. Amen.

**They exchanged the truth about God for lie… and people say that the Bible is not relevant for todays culture.

let me read this again. it sounds like it was written on twitter last night.:)

They exchanged the truth of God for a lie..and worshiped and served created things.. rather then the creator.

Have ever got your priorities mixed up and started serving something that God gave you and forgot the God who gave it.

And that’s what happened they forgot about the truth and started serving created things rather serving the creator.

They were having their own insider rebellion.

And a lot of them finally discovered and... we as a faith community discovered as we read this book that God was Right.. all along.

But they wanted to do it their way.

You see they didn’t learn their lesson what they had experience from one water crisis to the other water criss.

They forgot that God was in the midsts of their crisis. All they had to do is open their hearts and open their eyes to recognize him.

There are some things that cannot be explained but they can only be experienced.

And when I tell that God is near to the broken hearted..

I can tell you that all day long but is not until your heart is broken..

...it is not until your are at the end of yourself.

... it is not until those who walked with you turned had their back on you...

...but God stood by your side that you can say with confidence that the Lord is my helper.

What can men do to me. Let no men trouble me, I walked through the valley I went through the shadows already. and no more distractions in my life.

I feel God today and I actually see His presence in my life.

All along God was there but they didn’t see him. All along God was guiding their path through the cloud but they walked as they were all alone.

So from water crisis now they face food crisis. But despite this they still have problems trusting in God’s ability to provide.

God provides to them again…and this time with manna and quail.

A story of rebellion after they have gone trough the red sea.

Even before we even get to the commandments we see this story of mana in where they grumbled and complained

...and the Lord came down to remind them who he is. By testing them with this miracle manna from heaven. READ

to gather enough-not too much, this way I will test them if they still follow me.

and on the sixth day they are to prepare what they bring in. twice as much.

This spiritual implication stated for us today that we also are to go and gather the spiritual bread of life daily and act on it, be blessed by it, tested by it, for his glory will be revealed.

We s where we are to go and gather what

Read Exodus 13-16

So they gather it up and they said what is it? we do not know but we can make bread, they could make many things from it. 16

So they gather it up and they said what is it? we do not know but we can make bread, they could make many things from it.

Then the Israelites did as they were told they gathered the manna and Moses gave them instructions what to do for the sabbath day also. Exodus 16:20-26

they the root of the manna disobedience was about ....trust.

If you can’t trust someone you can’t be in a good relationship with them.

Brooks, K. (2009). Summarized Bible: Complete Summary of the Old Testament (p. 19). Bellingham, WA: Logos Bible Software.

Those who gathered and tried to hoard didn’t trust God to provide again.

Have we ever been there? We know that God is in control many times, however we hold on to those things that we think we have control over it.

I know that God gives me this opprortunity but do I trust God if I don’t follow his instruction.

Even if they will fire me, maybe they will look at me different, Maybe they will judge me…see we start second guessing our God.

READ

Those who gathered on sabbath trusted their past experience more then they trusted God.

God instructed the Israelites to gather daily enough manna for each member of the family, leaving no leftovers for the next day (, ). On the sixth day of the week, they were to collect a double portion so they could honor the Sabbath ().

But not too much longer they figured it out and next time they went out to gather enough for the sabbath.

We learn also from our own falls at times don’t we. We learn to trust God at times from our own experience.

Huffman, D. S., & Hausherr, J. N. (2016). Manna. In J. D. Barry, D. Bomar, D. R. Brown, R. Klippenstein, D. Mangum, C. Sinclair Wolcott, … W. Widder (Eds.), The Lexham Bible Dictionary. Bellingham, WA: Lexham Press.

Are we going to trust God or we are going to trust ourselves. The Lord awake Jesus morning by morning to participate in the morning manna.

Even even we lose one hour of sleep the Lord will give us the strength of that hour filled with more energy then having that hour with out God.

See 7 hours of sleep with God’s blessings is far more then 8 hours with out him.

I believe that is good promise.

We have Jesus, the Bread of Life () is the true wilderness bread for believers, ministered by the Spirit through the Word..

“I did it my way”

The question for this morning is:

The LORD said to Moses, 12 “I have heard the grumbling of the Israelites. Tell them, ‘At twilight you will eat meat, and in the morning you will be filled with bread. Then you will know that I am the LORD your God.

The Lexham Bible Dictionary The Old Testament

God instructed the Israelites to gather daily enough manna for each member of the family, leaving no leftovers for the next day (Exod 16:4, 16–19). On the sixth day of the week, they were to collect a double portion so they could honor the Sabbath (Exod 16:5).

The question for this morning is:

The manna disobedience was about ....trust.

If you can’t trust someone you can’t be in a good relationship with them.

Those who gathered and tried to hoard didn’t trust God to provide again.

Have we ever been there? We know that God is in control many times, however we hold on to those things that we think we have control over it.

I know that God gives me this job but do I trust God if I don’t work on sabbath, maybe they will fire me, maybe they will look at me different, Maybe they will judge me...we start second guessing our God. (?)

Those who gathered on sabbath trusted their past experience more then they trusted God.

They figured it out and next time they went out to gather enough for the sabbath.

We learn also from our own falls at times don’t we. We learn to trust God at times from our own experience don’t we.

The question for this morning is:

Are we going to trust God or we are going to trust ourselves. Are we going to let him lead the way or for us to force our way.

See the Lord awake Jesus morning by morning to participate in the morning manna.

And the Lord can wake us up as well to gather the heavenly manna.

Even even we lose one hour of sleep the Lord will give us the strength of that hour filled with more energy then having that hour without God.

I believe that is good promise.God here...had a plan to feed at least 2 maybe 6 million people in the desert.,God had a plan for this.. every morning.

I believe that 7 hours of sleep with God’s blessings is far more then 8 hours with out him. I believe that is a good promise.

God here...had a plan to feed at least 2 maybe 6 million people in the desert.

When the people woke up instead of dew there was going to be Manna, this white flacky sweet stuff that tasted like wafers.

the word mana means I do not know what it is“what is it?”

The next day they woke up and it was there again.

Jesus immplicaiton and his aplication

Jesus refers himself to the Manna the bread of life -51 Jesus says I am that bread of life…I am the loving bread...

God is our provision not only for what we need here today, but also an eternal provision for our souls for all eternity.

The bread we eat reminds us of this. But these daily provisions of bread are also markers pointing us towards the eternal provision of Jesus’ own righteousness freely given for each one of us.

That through his sacrifice and resurrection, Jesus himself provides another type of nourishment for our souls.

His nails on the cross gave us the love that we need to survive, the grace that we need to move on and forgiveness to be complete.

He is the one who can bring the healing in your life.

Who can bring that forgiveness into your life.

Fogiveness is not forgetting what wounds took place in your life.

enough for each and every day,

It is easier to forgive when the person is gone.

But when you have to share custody, when you still have to live with the memory or to relearn to love the right way.

It is not a feeling, it does not mean it didn’t happened, it happened, they bullied you the lied about you.

By the way it is not only have you suffered some wounds but you’ve inflicted a few too.

And its kind of crazy how we can be comfortable putting all of our nails in Jesus Cross

but then walk around with a pocket full of our own to put in other people.

If are my nails are in his cross that means all of yours are too.

I cannot demend to receive a grace from God for me that I will not give to you.

What it mean, isn’t that it didn’t happen or it does not hurt, why would I chose to stay wounded when healing is in his hands.

Why would I keep nailing you to the cross where is hurting me.

somebody say no more nails, its all in the cross.

All my past, all my shame is all in the cross no more nails.

To be free I’ve got let go. now declare over your life today, not that

It takes faith to believe that Jesus is the one who can take it all away he became your manna for your life.

Takes faith that there is healing.

Takes faith to come to him to ask forgiveness, to receive the bread of life.

He became the bread of life just for you.

Because he knows you he knows all about you.

He offered himself on that cross for you and me.

You see all my nails and shame is on that cross. No more nails! Through Christ Jesus.

The devil might have a nail but he does not have a hammer.

This is what we celebrate every time we gather at the communion table and each of us take and eat that piece of bread. and remember what he did on that cross for each one of us. That there is forgiveness and as we come to receive him in our lives he will set us free. All of it goes to the cross.

This is supposed to be what we remember every time we sit down to a meal and give thanks to God for the provision of his blessings.

We remember that we are nourished by God with material and spiritual blessings to sustain us.

God with spiritual blessings to sustain us.

Jesus says, “I am the bread of life…All those the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never drive away.”

This is not bread we can ever purchase in any way, because none of us would ever be able to pay its cost.

story:

Story: It’s not the bread where we had to stay two hours in line back at home jsut to have a loaf on the table.

It’s not the bread that you freshly baked and you can eat a whole loaf in one sitting.

It is a different kind of bread that never runs out, that never leaves us hungry.

This is not bread that can be earned or deserved.

This is not bread to which we have any entitlement.

because we are the right sort of people or because we do the right sorts of things

..or live the right sort of life.

You and I do nothing except show up with an empty plate.

And whoever comes before Jesus receives the provision of his nourishment.

There is no secret formula here.  There is no hidden path.

There is no resume that is required.

you don’t have to prove yourself in any way.

you don’t have to post staff to prove staff.

“What if your life isn’t your life you should be in?”

when you know who is the one who values you and loves you.

“Do you have to be stuck in a story and just call it the truth?”

All you need to do is come to Jesus. That’s it!

All of us can ever do is come before Jesus and admit that we need him. move on.. you can’t stay there forever. .....

...cannot ever do enough of anything on our own to provide our own bread of life.

There is only one bread of life; and that is Jesus.

When Jesus broke the bread and fed five thousand people, he gave instructions to his disciples to assist in the process.

It was the disciples who gathered the twelve baskets.

It was the followers of Jesus who were told that none of this manna goes to waste.

It was the followers of Jesus who retrieved and were entrusted with the twelve baskets

...symbolically enough bread to share with all God’s people.

We are those who even today receive the manna of Jesus.

And we are the ones called by that same instruction;

God gives to his church twelve baskets full of his provision.

do not let any of it go to waste.

Use it wisely, enough to fill you today.

..no need to prove anything just take it.

He gives to us more than what we need with the mission of sharing his life...

-giving manna with all who will come.

Jesus never drives anyone away.

How have you been fed by Jesus this week?

Did you tell him how you feel?

Did you tell him your story, because he already knows your story.

“See I don’t pray to inform God I pray to involve God…

... to let him know that I already know that you see my situation

...and that you already know what I need in my situation.”

In the time that you have, in the skills and abilities you have been blessed by God...

to receive in the possessions you hold onto.

...in the possessions you hold onto.

What has God provided for you?

And how have you been called to share of that manna with someone else?

In the excess of our many blessings, who is there around you needing to hear...

who is there around you needing to hear...

...and respond to that call from Jesus to come?

respond to that call from Jesus to come?

How can you share a gift that not only meets someone’s provision for today, ...

...but shows the open door to a path that will spiritually nourish for all eternity?

Jesus says I am the bread of life.  May we share the feast as it is has been given so graciously to us.

Today, we are celebrating The Lord’s supper, is a symbol of Christ’s sacrifice.

Today is a time where we pause and we say, Jesus you know my wounds, you know my scars. Tell him how feel and he will set you free.

Jesus here I am.. I am in need of your Savior.

We are here to be restored, renewed in this celebration, to hear that you are near to us, to do what you told us to do.

Today is a day where we recognize that He is our bread of life that it is the only thing that can sustain us and fulfill us. Amen.

The communion is an open communion for those that believe that Christ died for us and that He is our Savior.

23 For I received from the Lord what I also passed on to you: The Lord Jesus, on the night he was betrayed, took bread,

20 In the same way, after the supper he took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you.
Have them come/take to them.. then read verse.20

24 and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, “This is my body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of me.”

25 In the same way, after supper he took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me.”

20 In the same way, after the supper he took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you.

26 For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes.

So they gather it up and they said what is it? we do not know but we can make bread, they could make many things from it.

At this root, the manna disobedience was about ....trust.

Those who gathered on sabbath trusted their past experience more then they trusted God.

They figured it out and next time they went out to gather enough for the sabbath.

We learn also from our own falls at times don’t we. We learn to trust God at times from our own experience.

Are we going to trust God or we are going to trust ourselves. The Lord awake Jesus morning by morning to participate in the morning manna. Even even we lose one hour of sleep the Lord will give us the strength of that hour filled with more energy then having that hour with out God. 7 hours of sleep with God’s blessings is far more then 8 hours with out him. I believe that is good promise.

In says: He humbled you, causing you to hunger and then feeding you with manna, which neither you nor your ancestors had known, to teach you that man does not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord.

God wants to teach us that we don’t only live on bread alone but we need the spiritual bread to survive also.

bring your attention to a text that Jesus liked to follow.

Then we come to , They laided up until morning as Moses told them. that... and it didn’t go bad, it didn’t spoil.

There was another miracle thing, not only the manna came fall miraculously but on the sixth day what they gathered for the sabbath it didn’t spoil

And what is our spiritual application for our daily lives.. that if we gather for

He humbled you, causing you to hunger and then feeding you with manna, which neither you nor your ancestors had known, to teach you that man does not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord
