We need to seek out truth, but the only way to confirm validity is to introduce the derived truth into an environment of opposition. In this way we are able to validate the foundation of the truth apart from the association with one’s own bias. Context often informs conclusions, but the fear of measuring validity by acting on an hypothesis will never bring us to any worthwhile conclusions. We can talk all day about the best way to long jump, but if we never do we will never truly know how to long jump. Being stuck in the hypothetical phase seems to be a wonderful way to destroy the possibility and purpose of an individual.
