And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.
Heb 20:24
We don’t have to be a vocational minister in order to have a ministry. When we use the gifts and resources God has given us to minister to those around us…we are engaging in ministry.
Our ministry experiences can be lifegiving or life-robbing, depending on how you approach ministry. Most often, when you take time to be open and honest, you will find that the problem isn’t ministry. Rather the problem is usually found in our expectation, approach, and our limitations
Have you ever experienced serving in a ministry that was exciting and vibrant - lifegiving? What did that look like and what kind of results did you see?
A major part of lifegiving ministry is when we serve the Body of Christ. It is inaccurate to look at it as a part of your life — it is life itself. When we learn to make ministry a lifestyle we begin to see more clearly our God-given purposes in this life
Sometimes people doing ministry discover that what they are doing is life draining rather than lifegiving. What kinds of things happen when cause this to happen? How can we avoid it?

What does this kind of sacrifice look like in a person’s life?
It seems like offering your body as a living sacrifice would lead to burnout and total exhaustion. How can we live this kind of life without facing burnout?
SHARING TOGETHER

Where are some of the situations/places we can serve like that?
Is lifegiving ministry about doing what someone asks you to do or about discovering your own gifts and passions and serve in those areas?
And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.
