In life there are moments that happen that cause us to say,
“What are you doing!?” or “What am I doing!?”

What is for you?
Start studying and applying yourself at school?
Really start focusing at practice?
De-friend someone or a group because of the bad influence?
Quit getting in trouble all the time?
We can all relate. When is comes to our lives we need to ask ourselves,
WHAT AM I DOING!?
Thankfully for us, God’s Word has something to say about this & how we are to live our lives.

GOD’S WORD
17 And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
TRUTH: JESUS IS THE SOURCE OF ALL WE DO.
>> In all places, in all ways, the believer is to honor the name of the Lord Jesus.
“Whatever you do”
Think about what you do everyday.
Think about what your involved in by default.
Think about what your involved in because you want to.
Think about what comes across your mind on a day to day basis.
What’s important to you?
Think about what comes across your mind on a day to day basis. What’s important to you?
MAJOR QUESTION: OF ALL THINGS YOU DO AND SAY, WHOSE IT FOR?
>> This is an important question, because how you do something is more important than what you actually do.<<
English Standard Version Chapter 3
whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus
Q - Are you functioning with a me-centered attitude or a Jesus-centered attitude?
When we read this,
Q - Are you functioning with a me-centered or a Jesus-centered attitude?
Why be Jesus-centered?
Answer: THE GOSPEL
When Jesus gets a hold of someone that someone lives for Him.

My football reality was dramatically changed after that moment. I was no longer a cornerback but a linebacker.
TRUTH: JESUS IS THE SOURCE OF ALL WE DO.
>> Jesus is not an add-on to what we do.
>> Jesus is not an add-on to what we do.
Here’s what we need to understand students, radical change from the gospel of Jesus in your life produces Jesus-centered living. If you have been changed by saving faith in Jesus and you’re still living for yourself, something isn’t right.
English Standard Version Chapter 3
giving thanks to God the Father through him.
The gospel produces daily thankfulness to God.
Be mindful of the gospel in your life and see how your thankfulness to God increases.

“Only One Life”
Two little lines I heard one day,
Traveling along life’s busy way;
Bringing conviction to my heart,
And from my mind would not depart;
Only one life, twill soon be past,
Only what’s done for Christ will last.
Only one life, yes only one,
Soon will its fleeting hours be done;
Then, in ‘that day’ my Lord to meet,
And stand before His Judgement seat;
Only one life,’twill soon be past,
Only what’s done for Christ will last.
Only one life, the still small voice,
Gently pleads for a better choice
Bidding me selfish aims to leave,
And to God’s holy will to cleave;
Only one life, ’twill soon be past,
Only what’s done for Christ will last.
Only one life, a few brief years,
Each with its burdens, hopes, and fears;
Each with its clays I must fulfill,
living for self or in His will;
Only one life, ’twill soon be past,
Only what’s done for Christ will last.
When this bright world would tempt me sore,
When Satan would a victory score;
When self would seek to have its way,
Then help me Lord with joy to say;
Only one life, ’twill soon be past,
Only what’s done for Christ will last.
Give me Father, a purpose deep,
In joy or sorrow Thy word to keep;
Faithful and true what e’er the strife,
Pleasing Thee in my daily life;
Only one life, ’twill soon be past,
Only what’s done for Christ will last.
Oh let my love with fervor burn,
And from the world now let me turn;
Living for Thee, and Thee alone,
Bringing Thee pleasure on Thy throne;
Only one life, “twill soon be past,
Only what’s done for Christ will last.
Only one life, yes only one,
Now let me say,”Thy will be done”;
And when at last I’ll hear the call,
I know I’ll say “twas worth it all”;
Only one life,’twill soon be past,
Only what’s done for Christ will last. ”
— extra stanza —
Only one life, ’twill soon be past,
Only what’s done for Christ will last.
And when I am dying, how happy I’ll be,
If the lamp of my life has been burned out for Thee
