I. A Song of Zion v. 1-3
I. A Song of Zion v. 1-3
(ESV)
A Psalm of the Sons of Korah. A Song.
1 On the holy mount stands the city he founded;
2 the Lord loves the gates of Zion more than all the dwelling places of Jacob.
3 Glorious things of you are spoken, O city of God.

II. The Nations Come to God v. 4-6
4 Among those who know me I mention Rahab and Babylon;
Awake, awake, put on strength,
O arm of the Lord;
awake, as in days of old,
the generations of long ago.
Was it not you who cut Rahab in pieces,
who pierced the dragon?
You crushed Rahab like a carcass;
you scattered your enemies with your mighty arm.
Egypt’s help is worthless and empty;
therefore I have called her
“Rahab who sits still.”
behold, Philistia and Tyre, with Cush—
“This one was born there,” they say.
5 And of Zion it shall be said, “This one and that one were born in her”;
for the Most High himself will establish her.
6 The Lord records as he registers the peoples, “This one was born there.”
