Day 1

Matt 15:
Jesus talks about the difference between their traditions and God’s commandments.
Then he talks about flipping what goes in and what comes out.
What traditions do you have that might be going against God?
What things listed in verse 19 do you struggle with?

Day 2

Jesus seems to be uncharacteristically harsh with the Canaanite woman, but it proves a point. He’s testing her.
Jesus’ healings glorify God.
Why do you think jesus was harsh with the Canaanite woman?
This is the second feeding of the thousands, how is it different than the first (chp 14)?

Day 3

Discussion of reading signs and a second reference to the sign of Jonah.
The Disciples forget about the bread miracles and lose sight.
Jesus make sit clear who is then what he’s coem to do, die.
The charge to take up the cross
Who do you say Jesus is?
What do you need to deny yourself so you can take up Jesus’s cross?

Day 4

Here the Father uses the same language from Jesus’ baptism.
Famous verse about faith the size of a mustard seed.
Jesus again reminds them whats going to happen.
Weird fishing trip
Does verse 5 sound familiar?
Why do you think they were distressed when Jesus told them he would die but be raised again?

Day 5

Here we have a series of teachings
What is important about the section vs10-14?
What did you learn from vs 15-20?

Day 6

77 times is the number of completion, we should forgive completly.
Who do you see yourself as in the story?
How do you treat those who “owe” you?

Day 7

Family is the earthly example God has given us to understand Him. He values it highly because it reflects Him.
Why does god have such strong feelings about divorce?
This is extended to kids, why does he value them so much?
