Mid Week Minute 10-3-19

Do you sometimes feel like life is beating down on you? You feel sometimes like the difficulties of life come like one wave after another pounding the surf. Life can be relentless with the things that we face? If you can relate, I want to encourage you today! This week I’m on the East Coast dealing with some of those difficulties of life that hit deep and hard within the soul. I’m dealing with situations that tug at the heartstrings and can wear you down. You probably have known those struggles, the ones that can only be expressed before God as groanings too deep for words according to . As I was dealing with these struggles these waves of emotion I was reminded of something by a very dear precious friend. She said, “God remains faithful to us and allows the sun to rise each and every day for us.” As my wife sent those words I was having my time with the Lord here on the East Coast. I was reminded in a beautiful way that even in the midst of life‘s hammering waves of difficulties, trials, and ocean of emotions God‘s mercies are new every morning. I had the privilege of watching the sun rise over the horizon. Faithfully as it does each day the sun rose high above those waves. says this,

Romans 8:26 NASB95

In the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words;

Lamentations 3:22–23 NASB95

The Lord’s lovingkindnesses indeed never cease, For His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness.

What a beautiful promise we have in the midst of the pounding waves of life. Difficulties will come, they will always be with us just as sure as the next wave rolls in on the beach.

However, regardless of what you’re going through, regardless of what waves you face today, rest assured in this... God‘s mercies, his loving kindness is fresh and new for you today. Let’s face today! let’s take on this week day by day resting in this promise that God has given us in his word! Let’s walk through those waves knowing that the Son of God is faithful, praying you draw close to the One who strengthens us cares for us and loves us each and every day! God bless…
