As we begin this morning, we should note that we are not continuing into Chapter 7 but we will pick up in Chapter 8:1-11.
Although I do wish to offer a bit of summary for us to use as a segue into the next passage.
At the end of Chapter 6 of Johns Gospel, many of Jesus’ disciples fled his following, but the twelve remained.
They could not handle the truth.
But in we get glimpse of the enemy in the camp.
Further, we grasp that the Lord providentially put him there.
Chapter 7 Reveals that Jesus brothers did not yet believe Him.
And that others were very confused and really did not know how to handle Him.
The Sanhedrin were seeking for a way to silence Him.
