The Haunted House Part 1

"For God loved the world so much that He gave His one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life.
God sent His Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through Him.
"There is no judgment against anyone who believes in Him. But anyone who does not believe in Him has already been judged for not believing in God's one and only Son.
And the judgment is based on this fact: God's light came into the world, but people loved the darkness more than the light, for their actions were evil.
All who do evil hate the light and refuse to go near it for fear their sins will be exposed.
But those who do what is right come to the light so others can see that they are doing what God wants. "
INTRODUCTION
Good morning Southpointe!! We have a great time last Sunday at our campus church in Idabel. We celebrated their second anniversary.
Well, I know that many of you are thinking what is this haunted house deal.
Well, I am thinking about Silent Terror, which was a major outreach that we use to do in October. It was an invention of mine, and I really enjoyed it, but man it was work.
It started with the idea that the devil was spreading terror across the land and had been doing it for years. But most of the terror was very silent.

And I had notice how so many people are living in fear that are in the Church. When we live in fear, we can become a church that is like a haunted house.
We become stuck inside with the shutters drawn, haunted by fear that jumps out at any corner.
And we start living our life like this:
show the pictures of people reacting to a haunted house.( go to www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/10/02/haunted-house-reactions n 5921790.html.)
Fear makes the church an inward focused house instead of an outward focused sanctuary.
We can become dim, dark and closed off, the opposite of what the church should be.
Jesus came into a dark world in order to save it. And we can overcome the ineffectiveness of fear when we set our hearts on God’s purposes and unfailing love.
I believe that Jesus describes God’s purpose in sending His Son to die for the world>
"For God loved the world so much that He gave His one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life.
So I believe that God’s purpose is laid out, His unfailing love was on demonstration here.
But Jesus goes on and tells the who agenda in verse 17-18
God sent His Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through Him.
"There is no judgment against anyone who believes in Him. But anyone who does not believe in Him has already been judged for not believing in God's one and only Son.
There is agenda not to condemn the World but to rescue the world.
He Himself is the sacrifice that atones for our sins—and not only our sins but the sins of all the world.
But then Jesus goes on to use images of light and dark, and He explains that fear and darkness and the results of sin is exactly the things that He came to deliver us from.
If someone claims, "I know God," but doesn't obey God's commandments, that person is a liar and is not living in the truth.
But those who obey God's word truly show how completely they love Him. That is how we know we are living in Him.
Those who say they live in God should live their lives as Jesus did.
But then Jesus goes on to use images of light and dark, and He explains that fear and darkness and the results of sin is exactly the things that He came to deliver us from.
And the judgment is based on this fact: God's light came into the world, but people loved the darkness more than the light, for their actions were evil.
All who do evil hate the light and refuse to go near it for fear their sins will be exposed.
But those who do what is right come to the light so others can see that they are doing what God wants. "
