1 John 4:17-21

(7-10) Loving others is the effect of knowing God’s love.

(7-8) Loving others does not cause you to know God.

The input is more important than the output.

Loving others does not mean we know God - it is not the cause.

God’s love is transformative.

(11-16) Loving others is the experience of God’s presence among us.

The presence of God is made concrete when we love others.

In this way, the church IS missional.

(17-21) Loving others is the expression of the triumph of God’s love.

If God abides with us as we love others, we have nothing to fear.

Let God’s love transform how you love others.
