Cloud of Change

1 Kings 18:41–46 NIV84

41 And Elijah said to Ahab, “Go, eat and drink, for there is the sound of a heavy rain.” 42 So Ahab went off to eat and drink, but Elijah climbed to the top of Carmel, bent down to the ground and put his face between his knees. 43 “Go and look toward the sea,” he told his servant. And he went up and looked. “There is nothing there,” he said. Seven times Elijah said, “Go back.” 44 The seventh time the servant reported, “A cloud as small as a man’s hand is rising from the sea.” So Elijah said, “Go and tell Ahab, ‘Hitch up your chariot and go down before the rain stops you.’ ” 45 Meanwhile, the sky grew black with clouds, the wind rose, a heavy rain came on and Ahab rode off to Jezreel. 46 The power of the Lord came upon Elijah and, tucking his cloak into his belt, he ran ahead of Ahab all the way to Jezreel.

I must start with a prophetic declaration:

This is the year of Re-Vision

God is restoring what the enemy took

The vision you wrote down God will fulfill

Like Job, you are about to get double for your faithfulness

No more shame but a double portion of blessing

No more blocking of your inheritance

Clouds without rain - No More

The sound without substance - No More

Thunder to awaken the children

Thunder to point to the rain

Do not forsake the days of small beginnings

The clouds carry change

The clouds carry a new season

The clouds are bringing renewal

The clouds are bringing a blessing

The seed sown will reap a plentiful harvest

2. Speak what you believe

Without a cloud in the sky - the prophet declared rain was coming

Do not wait to see to believe

Open your eyes of faith and speak

I believe, therefore, I speak

What you believe may not yet exist

Speak it into existence

Open you faith eyes

Look for God

Lift up your eyes to see where our help comes from

He is above all

4. The cloud is forming

Everything starts small

Time to see the growth

This cloud is bringing change

Don’t look to yesterday

5. The rain is coming

The sound of rain is here

Get in the rain of the Holy Spirit
