Bend don’t break
Bend don’t break
Christ created us. He loves who we are, the person that we truly are. God formed us and holds us. He wants us just as we are today, nothing more and nothing less.
Sara and i have a good friend who is living in Lebenon. She came to Sara and I a couple years ago to share her dreams to go. It was a weird thing for me because I said Megan, why would you want to go there. you are a single pretty girl, its so dangerous for you. Couldn’t you go somewhere safer? she then took the next hour or so to share with us how she had felt led to go there and the safety wasn’t the biggest concern for her. that she wanted to love on people with here mind (nurse) and her heart (jesus).Basically what I said to her was, they weren’t worth her love or Christs love. I was right and wrong. Yes they were sinners and not deserving of Love, but Jesus loves them inexplicably. and yes I am a sinner and not deserving of love yet jesus loves me inexplicably

8 but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. 9 Since, therefore, we have now been justified by his blood, much more shall we be saved by him from the wrath of God.
the word justified means we stand before God, acceptable spotless, pure and without sin.. God looks at us and say there is no sin in that man. he looks at us and we are just in his sight. so all the blasphemy that we have done when we choose stuff over God. all the blasphemy that we have lived in when we say my way is better than gods. all the blatant sin of saying creation is better than god is removed, and God sees us as just.
Much more than having been justified by his blood . This is great news. Nothing about your effort in that text at all. Nothing about your religious stamina, your morality, your cleaning it up. You have been justified by an act of God.
Bottom line. you have not earned right standing in front of God, by your effort or your cleaning up of your life. We have been made pure standing blameless in front of God not because of any kind of religious or moral pursuit but because christ died and in his death he absorbed all of Gods wrath, and thats why the bible says
9 For God has not destined us for wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ,
because the wrath bestowed on you and i was absorbed by christ in his death.
11 And they have conquered him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, for they loved not their lives even unto death.

5 “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you,
and before you were born I consecrated you;
I appointed you a prophet to the nations.”
6 Then I said, “Ah, Lord God! Behold, I do not know how to speak, for I am only a youth.”
5 “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you,
and before you were born I consecrated you;
I appointed you a prophet to the nations.”
6 Then I said, “Ah, Lord God! Behold, I do not know how to speak, for I am only a youth.” 7 But the Lord said to me,
“Do not say, ‘I am only a youth’;
for to all to whom I send you, you shall go,
and whatever I command you, you shall speak.
8 Do not be afraid of them,
for I am with you to deliver you,
declares the Lord.”

I appointed you a prophet to the nations.”
Jeremiah 1:

18 and I will be a father to you,
and you shall be sons and daughters to me,
says the Lord Almighty.”
Our heavenly father is very much like the father in this video. there cheering us on, encouraging us, giving us advice, supporting us. Its very real possibility that this kid would have given up without his dad there supporting him.
17 and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, provided we suffer with him in order that we may also be glorified with him.
The father recieved satisfaction in the son’s efforts. Both were glorified here not just the son.
15 No longer do I call you servants, for the servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all that I have heard from my Father I have made known to you.
God doesn’t just call you servant, he calls you a child he calls you a friend.
God created you and call you a friend. He loves you and wants you to be co-heirs with Him. So what does that mean? How you accomplish that? What’s your purpose?
