2 Samuel 22-23

Savior’s Deliverance

In 22:2-3, David praises God for the unchanging salvation he provided.

In 22:8-17, David points to powerful images of God’s work.

22:30-43 show how God’s power was put on display through David.

We need to remember and praise God for what He has done in our lives.

Savior’s Presence

22:7 reminds us of the reality of times of distress.

We can have times where we wonder if God really is such a rock and savior (Psalm 13:1-2).

We need to remember that God saves the humble and delights to (22:20, 28).

Whatever you are in now, God will show His power leading to His praise.

Savior’s Security

At the end of his life, David looks at the future with certainty (23:5).

David knows his sins have been forgiven (Psalm 103-8-12).

David knows God’s promise of the eternal kingdom can’t be stopped.

God is our rock, our savior, and is alive now and always will be.
