there’s a high chance that if you’re black you grew up with “b/c I said so.”
it was the quientiscential power statement made by our, typically, black mothers. it was the ultimate end of discussion statement.
how many of us have used this phrase. if we got any question or push back from our children a homicide likely followed!
have you thought, when we heard those words, it got our attention and we knew we needed to do the exact opposite of what we were doing. as adults using the phrase we’d be surprise if there was push back. Q: why do we settle when the spirit has to respond to us? when it comes to our stuff, our circumstances, our future, our family or finances, why do we have different position? A: we don’t know who we are! we don’t know what we have. said another way, we don’t understand the power of sound.
