I want you to know that God believes in you. Now I really believe in him and he believes in you. He believes that you could do great things with your life. If you lean into him. He has amazing things. You don't often people say all that that person or that company or this thing or has potential. This church has potential of you heard that yeah that kind of stuff. There's everything has potential. It's what are you going to do with the potential has been placed in your hands? What are you going to do with what is enabled you to do it today? We're going to talk about the value of us together. Each believer has different gifts everyone of us who follows you as have something different in our life that it gives us to make us apart of making impact and God has given us these gifts to the local church so that we can grow in a balanced way. We need each other. We are a web of people that need each other and every Christian my exercise his or her gift by faith not like we don't always see the results of our ministry, but the Lord sees it and He blesses our efforts. Two-story where there's a little girl named Jamie and she went to a Sunday school class after being gone a long time and she recently lost an arm. She was in an accident and she lost her arm and in preparation for her mom bring her back after some time away. He asked that the teacher not call any attention out to Jamie said, you know, please please don't don't bring any attention to her arm being missing. She's very self-conscious. She's all worried right now and teach the dog. Don't worry. He promised it. We're just happy to have her back. We're so thrilled that she's okay and that they are but that that Sunday the teacher got sick and they had a substitute in the class. So Jamie came back in her teacher wasn't there they had a substitute in the class and that teacher forgot to tell the second teacher about the conversation. Start the conclusion of the lesson that day The Substitute was inviting about talking they were fighting kids to church and they led the led the class and doing hand motions to the familiar familiar open. You'll here's the church. Here's the steeple open the door and there's all the people and Jamie's eyes begin to fill with tears.

A little 13 year old boy sitting next to a realize how she must be feeling and so with one hand a piece they supported each other making the church the steeple and the people together. They Illustrated with the real Church is Ephesians 2:10 we hear the scripture a lot and we think about it in terms of Singularity. I do something that cuz I want to I want that for me, but I want you to look at the scripture with me here. It's Ephesians 2:10. I think I have it. Yes for we are God's Masterpiece. He has created us a new in Christ Jesus so we can do the good thing these plan for us long ago. Not quite often. We hear messages where it talks about you and I as being important then we are and it is a beautiful thing with the Lord does Ennis as individuals, but there's something even more beautiful when you take this collection of individuals and they work together through empowerment of the Holy Spirit to do something significant that they couldn't do on their own. Look, you're good. But you're not that good. Right, we're all we don't work. We can do something together and there's something powerful about the power of we and us that God together takes his collection and makes us all in the corner there one. I love the scripture emphasizing our togetherness that we are God's Masterpiece. Let's all stand together to pray for today's message. I'd like you to join me by standing father. I'm grateful for these people. Grateful for their love for you for their heart to learn. If I prepared this message you gave me some thoughts and holy spirit. I pray that I would share those effectively and that that Lord as I talk but even more so Holy Spirit, would you talk to each person as individuals about what it means for them that you believe in them you have plans for them plans to do amazing things in their life.

The Lord as we talked about one being one Unity working together the body of Christ.

I am believing that would come be on a church a potential to become a church of action.

troll saying I that those around talk is cheap and it is A father I don't want us to be guilty of just rambling on about making a difference. But Lord I stand in this room with people who are difference-makers. They know it many of them are using their give some of them right now in this very moment. And then I'm grateful that you are going to help us to make a difference together in amazing ways in our community that your plans for us are greater than we can even ask or imagine. Help us to get in line with your dreams with your hopes with your plans that we work together as one to make a difference for you. Thank you God for the amazing things are going to do what I think you Lord for the people were here today. And I pray God that we will all walk away from this moment today saying This is a day where I've decided to give myself to God even more and allow him to do what I feel inadequate to do. Because God when you're in our lives, you can take our inadequacies and do some amazing things. Thank you Lord for what you're going to do. Amen, turn to somebody's your seat and tell him. Hey, you're a piece of work. We're all Masterpiece. You're a piece of work. You're just one piece of the work.

How many of you like me can can relate to the fact that you're a piece of work? Yeah, come on. Yeah, I'm a piece of work to ask Kenny. Don't know don't ask her. She'll tell you too much stuff now, she's got my back.

We belong to something greater. That's our first Point ticket today. We belong together. We belong to something greater. It says the first four is we pick up our our texts and romance. It says just as our bodies have been have many parts and each part has a special function. So it is with Christ body. We are many parts of one body and we belong together.

We belong to each other.

Boom we're connected. We are a web of individuals with amazing potential that together can that people into the kingdom of God? We go out and walk out separately and just continue to work as individuals. We might get a person here there that we can sleep in a king of our arms are open wide this area with the good love of Jesus with a passion that he puts in us will catch a lot of them. There's some amazing when we work together. There's power when the Holy Spirit Works through the church and the church is the church with a Capital C. The church wasn't trying to do the YMCA thing, but it look like it. the church with a Capital C

And then there's a church with a small see and that's that church here. That's the smaller part where we collect his are grouping of we're part of it. Look today. We have all kinds of partner churches in our area preaching the gospel on this morning. So I'm did it this week at other times during their services people churches. I pray for churches. I believe in churches that are great churches in our area that proclaim the good news and there are there part of the capital see where that's where we're in with them. I go to pastors meetings and I pray with him and I encouraged him and tear them out. They play with me and pray for us and they pray for us last Sunday.

There's something amazing about that. But there's something great about the fact and we joined together as Northwest Family Church a collection that God has brought together. It's amazing what we can do and we belong to each other. We in America in and I even get on American Idol value my Independence, right? Right back. I'm a straight-up but you know, sometimes we chase at the idea of interdependence. It's not a normative thing to be interdependent, right? It's hard to be interdependent. You know, why cuz that inter part i n t e r there together. It's easier to work alone ask any any leader whether it's easier to train somebody else or just do it yourself. There safe can be easier to do it myself in the short-term in the long-term its leadership failure. Leaders have to train equip and release people to do it their way and get the same results. It's just how it is. But we have to be interdependent. We have to depend on each other. I have to depend on you or we're not going to go anywhere to church if I'm doing everything and you're doing nothing. You have no buying and I've got all the buying and we're going to lose. right But if you all grabbed who you are and your uniqueness and jump on board, it's amazing what God will do.

Our unique gift that God giving us left in isolation is an unused underutilized Talent. Your uniqueness in an isolated place is under used a great singer by themselves a nice solo, but there is something powerful that comes through the communication of acquire which of the watch this clip and women that watch the whole thing, but we might let's just see how it goes.

Stir It Up nice and loud you are going to sing.

one person sharing a thought has an idea a collection of people working together with that thought of the movement.

Are we people of ideas or we people of making doing something together? We people of Independence or people of interdependence?

There's a meeting of the American cyclist logical Association and Jack Lipton who was a psychologist at Union College and Scott ballon a graduate student at Columbia University presented their findings on how members of the various sections of 11 major Symphony Orchestra sections of the 11 major Symphony Orchestra proceed each other. The receptor of the percussionist were perceived as insensitive unintelligent hard of hearing and yet fun-loving. They perceive the string players as arrogant stuffy and unathletic. The orchestra members overwhelmingly chose loud as the primary adjectives to describe the brass players. Woodwind player seem to be held in high esteem described as quiet and meticulous and thought but also thought of it egotistical. Interesting findings to say the least with such widely Divergent personalities and perceptions. How can an orchestra ever come together and make such wonderful music? New Hampshire simple regardless of how those magicians view each other they said they said they subordinate their feelings and biases the leadership of the conductor and under his guidance. They play music Beautiful music together. We have to know our part B. Okay that everybody is not the same as us and share and work together here the mission. Come under leadership and move. Second point is we're uniquely gifted goes on in your sickness has in his grace God is giving us different gifts for doing certain diet during certain things. Well, so I can have given you the gift of prophesy when I speak out as much faith is God giving you if your gift serving others and serve them. Well, if you're a teacher teach, well if your gift is encouraging others and be encouraging if it's giving give generously if not giving you the leadership ability take the responsibility seriously, and if you have a gift for showing kindness to others do it gladly

God gives us gifts so we can build up his church and I will tell you in my ears of 20-something. Well, honestly, I've been serving since I was probably six or seven years old in the nursery with my mom at 7 to all these years. My gifts have intermingled and went in and out of all of those.

I've had all different ones of those at different times. I think that the Lord used me in. And yet they're all highly important. So be okay with the fact that God may use you differently than they used to before but fully function that the gift is given you right now be open to change but but the secure and what you're given is your get this right now and to use your gifts effectively, we must realize that all gifts and abilities only come from God. If you don't if you don't start where it says your talent, you're good at this pastor I can do this. I need to be doing that. I should this I should that why don't you use this me for this or that or the other? I don't want to hear about you and what you think you should be doing. I want you to pray and seek the Lord and say hey Pastor. I've been praying about this. What do you feel about this and let me come alongside you and say okay. I confirm that the Lord speak back to me as well work. Let me pray on that some more. Because there's power can says it's the Lord gives the leader the ability to discern get us the sermon understand that not everyone has the same gifts be okay that everybody's different know who we are and what we do best. Who are you? What are you what are you best at dedicate your gift to God service and and not to our personal success do it for God not fruit for getting glory be willing to utilize our gifts wholeheartedly not holding back anything from God service. I came across this quote from Warren wiersbe. I really enjoy his is his Communications stuff that he's out there for us. And it does this spiritual gifts are tools to build with not toys to play with or weapons to fight with

Man, that's a brilliant statement spiritual gifts are tools to build with not toys to play with our weapons to fight with. I've seen gifs be used as weapons.

Have a friend right now who is dealing with the worship team who all fell apart because they all knew better than the person that got to put in leadership in that thing. They didn't want to follow that leader of Music they didn't want to do that. They wanted if they knew that they should do that say why aren't you use me this way? What if I don't like that person and not using me the way that I think they should be used me. Stop talking if you're using the word I a lot stop. I find myself doing that like right now I said I What stop doing that was talked about and we in the Lord? What's the Lord say, what's the Lord asking of us?

Brianna can you come and volunteer just for a second just stand right here since you're in the front row.

Unwilling participant is it all right if I throw summer bands at you? All right.

That's a rubber bands. I just kind of bounced off is there ever throw some more?

I'm not going to throw away.

There's more power when there's Unity. Those are Vans didn't affect you at all today hits bounced off your coat on a while you're still wearing a coat and sweating in here and waving flags waving stuff in front of her face to cool off and you're wearing a coat right? Thank you. Let's give her and figure out a fly. Thank you for helping.

we we just are individualism get this this or interdependent it gets us this what you going to settle for where was the church were allowed of independent people in this church lot of people who just tell you that's my church family church family.

I've never taken the garbage out. I don't work with the killed and I don't do this. I don't do that then it's not home is it it's just a place you're coming and ripped drinking the coffee. You don't ever in bass note. Don't give no I don't give I don't give anybody cuz I don't know if they're going to do with it. Whatever. I don't have enough money to give whatever it is stopped making excuses because that's that's dribbble. This comes at you can feel it. And sometimes that's the Holy Spirit to get to be like that. Sometimes knock me down a notch or two and I need it and I deserve it. We're powerful together. What if each of us brought someone at church next week? We have to put out chairs when we will that be ashamed I'd be just terrible wouldn't it be better if we all brought somebody next week? What if we did so much that we went out of our comfort zone and invited him to come pick you up and bring them with you. How about that now? You can come from Pastor Will good. That makes me uncomfortable all the time.

What if we each eat seriously ask God what we could do individually to help our church have greater impact. What did you said Lord? What can I do here at Northwest Family Church to help it to fill your mission for us. We have a unique calling as a church by what can we do to reach people to let them know that they are somebody that everybody is somebody just as our eyes are focused. Maybe it's as simple as inviting somebody to Bunco night drink, that's nice people here. I don't know what the Lord says to you. What if we embraced our unique gift and became active in our faith, we weren't passive interface anymore. We didn't just hang it on a Sunday look in her closet that we bring out once a week, but we lived Monday Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday Saturday 24/7 what would happen? We're not here. We're going to hear an accident this morning. The Lord knew you were going to be here. He knew where you were going to be this morning. He's got surprised that you're here. He is all-knowing and got brought you to us because together we can make a difference and he wants make a difference in us and through us you are valuable. With the Holy Spirit working through us something Supernatural happens. Everyone becomes an MVP. Most valuable everybody's the most valuable who is the most valuable. Will you look at that list? It would just read their all the most valuable. No gets more important than the other. They're all important. When we serve together the holy spirit moves through it and lies or change fraternity. What are we willing? What are we willing as a church to believe 4 and I'm not saying what am I willing to leave for I'm asking us. What are we willing at the church to believe for how big can our kingdom thinking be together? What can we believe for together? What can I build a kingdom thinking be together big? It's a big deal to try and raise money to descend all around the world the way that we're doing it. We're at we've given more this year to Kingdom Builders so far then what we gave all of last year. But we still need about eight or nine grand to make it to the end of the year. So let's keep giving they went down a Givens went down in Kingdom Builders last two months was bring it back up cuz we not a tr-1 of March to the end hit it because when do something now it's not just about money, but it is about getting stuff done and sometimes they take money if you're handicapped woman and you come to this church in a wheelchair. Good luck. But we got a handicap stall. If your if your wheelchair is like like for a Barbie doll or something, I mean, it's not a normal handicap, right? It's a little disturbing you on that starts. Like hey walls are closing in literally. That's a smaller stalls in America. I think we're going to make this place better. Yes, and because women who are handicapped and in wheelchairs need to be able to come to this church to celebrate with us because we serve a great God. There's life here. There's hope here we want people to be here. What impact can we dream for God to do through us together as we serve together every gift is of equal value some parts of the body are more visible, but there are valued. I don't know about you. I've never seen my kidney and I like it.

You people don't often see my little toe outside of me cuz I don't wear flip-flops mind. I keep myself Jenny might see him. I'm not a big future some of your features. That's alright. No judgment. You can share your feet with everybody tell me you shouldn't have got to eat like Hobbits in The Lord of the Rings movies. God help you and everybody had to see him.

But everybody's tell you my toes my spleen. I don't know exactly what it does to me. I'm grateful for the members of this body will come early to unlock the doors and turn the TVs on in the computers. I'm grateful for those who invest in our babies are preschoolers or Elementary and Junior High School students. I'm thankful for our High School Middle School junior high elementary students who come and celebrate. I'm not alone in that some guy named and I'm thankful for those who can practice their craft to give us a very best on Sunday. I'm thankful for those who smile and greet does repair the church facility that was supposed to cook over our event for Men's breakfast for all the things we do for the hot dog. Sunday is for all the things for those who hosted life group. Do Minister two adults by living a life Cooper Sunday school class for those who stuff to build relationships and have fun.

What are two common just simply serve those who serve as unto the Lord?

What Colossians 3 it says whatever you're doing work with it at with enthusiasm that's in the Lord not for people because you know that you'll receive your inheritance from the Lord as a reward serve the Lord Christ. work with enthusiasm Our final point today is this real love is shown and has impact.

Romans 12 verse 4 verse 9 continues and it says your love must be real.

We working Unity. We do all these great things in the name of the Lord and our love's not real. soccer new much

then he goes on to say this. What is what is the weather look like in packs with some some some what it looks like. Let's look at love each other like brothers and sisters give each other more honor than you want for yourselves. That's easy. Right? No. Don't be lazy, but work hard serving the Lord with all your heart. Be joyful, because you have hope be patient when Trouble Comes pray at all times share gots with people who did not see who need help me bring strangers and need to your home, which was good for those who harm you wish them well and do not curse them be happy with those were happy and be sad with those who are sad live in peace with each other do not be proud that make friends with those who seem unimportant do not think how smart you are. If someone does wrong to you do not pay them back by doing wrong to him try to do what everyone thinks is right do your best to live in peace with everyone? No pressure.

What's your that list couple of those, I don't like that one.

Why do you put that one down that was hard? You know. It's hard, but that's what real love looks like.

I want to be a person of real love. I want to be a part of a church with real love. D l Moody tells a story he says this is a great Pastor in Chicago who started the Moody Bible Institute and had great ministry. He said the statement said show me a church where there is love and I will show you a church that has that is a power in the community. Show me a church where there is love and I will show you a church that is that is a power in the community. Would it be fun to be a power in the community?

He said in Chicago a few years ago a little boy. Chicago few years ago a little boy to the Sunday School than you knew of his parents moved to another part of the city. The little fellow still attended the same Sunday school. Although it meant a long tiresome walk each way and the friend asked him why he went so far and told them that there were other good churches are there good places near as near as home might be good. They may not be as good, you know, but he said no they may they may be good for others, but they're not for me was the reply and it prints and why not? They said because they know how to love a fellow over there.

Together when we all do our parts. None of us are stressed out and Sunday morning. I'm telling you most I need including today. I'm stressed out. There's too many things still I'm doing and I know we're not a large organization and that's okay. It's to be expected in some regard. But if some of you aren't serving in some way then you don't help me help me out and figure out what it looks like. What can you do? What difference can you make? You can make a big difference. Just do the little piece of God gives you to do and it's makes an amazing difference.

We only make the world believe that we love them. There would be fewer empty church is a smaller proportion of a population who never dark in the church door, let love replace Duty in our church relations and the world will soon be evangelized stop serving the lord begrudgingly serve him with gladness.

It's hard when I say it's going to be easy, but you want to find out how hard it is to serve the Lord just read some stories in the Bible. None of them are Pleasant. I mean that you know those guys who we talked to Moses and Abraham and uncomfortable the Apostle Paul who wrote this this morning. It's been a lot of time in jail be he was beat the tar out of him.

God doesn't want to be care to be comfortable necessarily but he does want us to be joyful and thankful. So here's a question. What does Real Love look like for us this month? One way that we're going to show love is at church and I'm asking I've got 12 people signed up and we need I'd like to see about 25 of us go there not quite halfway is that we're going to go over to Salty's Elementary and help run the carnival that look I'm a parent. I remember the carnival. I did the carnival we did puppets at the carnival. We did we ran booze. We did the fish thing will last year. We went over a few of us went over and we worked at carnival. That was not the highlight of our life, but it sure was a highlight of the kids. We are serving they were having a blast and so we're going to go over again this year, but we're going to go over with shirts that look like this.

They say are our church name in the front and look what it says in the back.

What is that statement? That means it's not about us. It's about them. We are there just to serve them. We're not there to proselytize them. We're just a little of them and let Jesus do the work. Let the Holy Spirit do the work. What if we went and just love people by helping their kids writing when a goldfish boy. That was a trip. Or Cakewalk, I did Cakewalk. I didn't like the cake walk. You know, somebody got a cake who's not happy when they walk away with a cake. Everybody loves cake. You know, what if we go over to boost where they were helping with the money stuff and some more helping with the different carnival games. What if we just make that night not about us?

I need some more people to join if they hate we're not about us. So if you want to help sign up today, the sign-up sheets in the back or right on your communication card right? Now. You can say I'm helping with cell teeth right down. We ordered these shirts so that we have plenty of them for us. And so it's going to be a fun time. That's an opportunity that we have this month. Maybe your opportunities this Friday or inviting a friend who doesn't know Jesus to our church. Play bunco where is playing bunco, but it comes just meet some nice people. Where's building relationships?

What is Real Love look like for you this month? And what is God calling you to that makes you both uncomfortable and excited. Borders Books under your heart that made you very uncomfortable and yet also very excited. If he hasn't Frank. I think I'm going to ask him Lord. What do you want me to do and he might ask you to do something you don't want to do but you're kind of excited about giving it a go. Play I never could do that and maybe you couldn't without the holy spirit's help. But let's give it a go together. Let's make it happen. Let's all be pieces of work that are become workmanship.

Let's all stand together as we close our time.
