What are the main influences that shape your values, your thinking, and your behaviour? This is a really important question for us to ask, and to ask often, because we live immersed in a culture that plays to our sinful nature and wants to draw us away from following Jesus. In Ephesians 5 Paul reflects on how we are called to live as God’s holy people and warns us against being deceived by the world. In fact numerous times throughout the Scriptures we are warned about the danger of buying into the lies of the world and its way of thinking, and consequently acting like the world. This Sunday as we look together at Ephesians 5:3-10 we will consider this danger and what means for us to think and live as children of light.
