How to Recognize the movement of God in your life.

If my prayers are primarily about finding God’s will for my life, then life is about me. If I am praying that God will reveal to me where He is working and how I might join Him, then my life is about God and His glory.

One of the most significant things that I have learned over the past 50 years is how to recognize the power and presence of God in my life. Most every day I am watching to see where it is that God is working and how we might join Him.

Life objective - To know, love and glorify God and be used by Him to raise up qualified laborers in significant number to help fulfill the great commission.

It is in giving myself to this objective that I have learned how to recognize the movement of God in my life.

How can I recognize the movement of God. How long has it been since you specifically heard God speak to you. Would you know His voice if you heard it.

You have to be a follower - sheep know the master’s voice

You must know the Bible - He is the same today as he has always been and always will be. The better you know it the easier it is to hear and understand what it is that God is saying to you

Activity or event must Glorify God - would he look at it and be pleased.

We must be part of the local church.

-Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with God’s people and also members of his household, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone. In him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord. And in him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit.

Will I ask others in the church if they are seeing the same thing or ask them what they see god doing

Time - it is over time that we learn to recognize the activity of God.

my ability to recognize Gods activity in my life grows over my lifetime.

My timing is not the timing of God

Practice - you can, if you will, learn from your mistakes

Finally, we must be looking for the activity of God or we will miss it altogether.
