He gave away his wealth to his wayward son.

He waited day after day for his son to repent and return.

He threw an extravagant party because He enjoyed it.

the son didn’t earn it.

the son didn’t deserve it.

His invitation to be generous with Grace.

Imagine never cashing a check.

Imagine being angry at those who cashed the check.

Somehow the other son thought he had to earn the Father’s love.

He had not because he asked not.
