Our existence in this world is a mixture of joy and sorrow, harmony and conflict, and life and death. Each has its own proper moment, and we, as creatures of time, must conform to the temporal limitations that are built into the cycle of life. No permanent state of affairs exists in this world. This is a great source of frustration for people since longing for eternity is planted within us (3:11).1

You Are Going To Go Through StagesEcc 3:1 There is a time and a season for everything under the sunThere are seasons!… Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter3 Trimesters  Father, Son, and Holy SpiritGetting pregnant was fun… life was exciting!When you first came to Jesus it was always thrilling.BUT, Because of God’s love for you, he will not allow you to continue without becoming like him… Filled with faith and love.

1. Your Faith…

FIRST TRIMESTER   Kicked out of the nestNATURAL … P. ChaneyIt’s hard… Tired, emotional – senses are heightened, nausea Because your body is creating a placentaNobody really understands what you’re going through/ private This is the organ that transfers the nutrition for the baby to grow and be ready to birthedYou know you are pregnant but there is not a huge connection with the babySPIRITUAL … Honeymoon wears And it's time to growA lot of growth is happeningThis is not as easy as I thought!In the beginning of Christianity we don’t realize that we are all about self. God has to allow trials to bring about the life of Love and Faith instead of self.It feels like you are getting kicked out of the nest.God, why are you doing this to me????Feels like you are alone…God Requires Your Faith To Grow Lord increase our faithLuke 17:3-5  Forgive 7 times??? Mk 9:24 I do believe, help my unbelief  God Will Test You in Three Areas1. Your Faith. 2. Your Work. 3. Your PromiseFaith—Gen 22:1 God tested Abraham, Deut 8:2 Children of Israel, Mat 4:1 JesusWork-- 1Cor 3:13 Every man's work will be tested by firePromise—Gen 22:2 God asked Abraham to sacrifice his son.Jesus: “Where’s your faith?” “Because you have so little faith.”1Pet 1:7-9 These trials have come so that your faithThe goal of your faith is the salvation of your soulsJames 1:2-4 Consider it pure joy when fiery trial come upon you Let it finish IT’S work…CHURCH After the church is conceived, you realize that things are not as easy as you thought they would be.People begin to show their human nature..666They don’t show up They don’t do what they agreed to doThey want to have control but not be submittedTheir opinions have to be received or they are angryThey start having rebellious attitudesThey want to be seenThey desert you… leaving you hangingThis is what happened to JesusJn 6:66 From this time many of his disciples turned back and no longer followed him.God requires the church to go to another level of faith.God requires us to step out upon his wordAbraham believed God and it was credited to him as righteousnessBold steps

SECOND TRIMESTER  Now you are beginning the life of faithNATURAL - ChaneyBody adjusts and Energy comes backA lot of relief – best time in pregnancy.Looking awkward - clothes don’t fitStarting to showCONNECTION WITH THE BABY…You start feeling the baby inside of you.Is there something coming – or are you just fat?Can’t sleep on your stomachSPIRITUALSpiritual growth is walking by faith and not by sightSpiritual growth is leaving the life of selfGal 2:20 I am Crucified with ChristIn the beginning it was all about me… I need. I need… I need..Spiritual growth is leaving self -righteousness behindRom 7:1-6 We died to the law so that we could belong to anotherGal 4:21-31 Kick out the slave woman and her sonRom 10:4 Christ is the end of the lawSpiritual growth is the easiest way of living Mt 11:28-29 My yolk is easy and my burden is lite

Why do things get easier?

(Example) Man who was homeless and said “the way I see it, I am God” I asked him “So how is that working out for you?You are beginning to learn 3 things…1. Surrender…Not my will but yours be doneMt 26:39 Jesus… Not my will but yours be done2. Repentance…Renew my mind to think ONLY God’s thoughtsPhil 4:6-8 Whatsoever things are pure and lovelyRom 12:2 Transformed by the renewing of your mindCol 3:1-3 Set your minds on things above3. Obedience…Because I trust you, I will do what you are telling me to do… even if it looks impossibleCHURCH As a church, things get easier because:We surrender to what God was trying to tell us all alongWe change our minds about what a church should operate likeWe obey what God is telling us to do.
