The Touch Of The Master’s Hand
And they brought unto him also infants, that he would touch them: but when his disciples saw it, they rebuked them.
INTRODUCTION:
The touch of Jesus has power over the enemies of the human family. These people knew if Jesus ever put His hand upon their children, they would be all right. Everything Jesus ever touched was changed. His Touch has power over.

A. The leper was cleansed by the touch of Jesus.
When he was come down from the mountain, great multitudes followed him. And, behold, there came a leper and worshipped him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean. And Jesus put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will; be thou clean. And immediately his leprosy was cleansed.

Jesus healed Simon Peter’s mother-in-law of fever.
And when Jesus was come into Peter’s house, he saw his wife’s mother laid, and sick of a fever. And he touched her hand, and the fever left her: and she arose, and ministered unto them.
This healing of fever is a type of sin’s sickness and discomfort.

Jesus healed the two blind men that followed Him.
And when Jesus departed thence, two blind men followed him, crying, and saying, Thou Son of David, have mercy on us. And when he was come into the house, the blind men came to him: and Jesus saith unto them, Believe ye that I am able to do this? They said unto him, Yea, Lord. Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it unto you. And their eyes were opened; and Jesus straitly charged them, saying, See that no man know it.
Sin blinds, binds, and when full grown, bringeth death.

The disciples felt this touch of the Mount of Transfiguration.
And when the disciples heard it, they fell on their face, and were sore afraid. And Jesus came and touched them, and said, Arise, and be not afraid.
They were told not to be afraid.

The touch of Jesus replaced the ear of the servant.
And one of them smote the servant of the high priest, and cut off his right ear. And Jesus answered and said, Suffer ye thus far. And he touched his ear, and healed him.
There was no scar on the man’s ear after Jesus touched it.

The touch of Jesus kept Simon Peter from sinking.

And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus. But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me. And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?
Peter’s prayer was only three words long but it kept him from sinking.
