WE CAN KNOW ANYTIME YOU GET IN DEEP ANYTIME YOU FACE TOUGH TIMES ANYTIME YOUR MIND TRICKS YOU. 3 Things to know. 1. KNOW the grace of God. 2. KNOW that God accepts our humanness because Christ knows our motives (3:20b). 3. KNOW that God is greater than our conscience, and there is no need for fear and trepidation when we approach God. Christians aren’t stuck in condemnation. SO - How do I respond to sin in my life? 1. ASK FORGIVENESS 2. LIVE WITH CONFIDENCE GOD WANTS TO ASSURE OUR LIVES GOD WANTS US TO HAVE CONFIDENCE Greek Confidence – παρρησία parrhesia par·rhay·see·ah - bold confidence, sometimes implying intimidating circumstances—‘boldness, courage.’ IN THE FACE OF INTIMIDATING CIRCUMSTANCES, WE HAVE BOLD CONFIDENCE TO KNOW WHO WE ARE AND WHAT WE ARE ABOUT II. THE SURE PROMISE VV21-24 God’s Word is Good – His Promises are true. Obedience brings God’s Blessings We have confidence because we obey God’s commands. OUTCOME FIRST – Confidence in Answered Prayer 22 and whatever we ask we receive from him, because we keep his commandments and do what pleases him We have this confidence in prayer because we “do what pleases him.” SECOND - Satisfying Relationships - 23 And this is his commandment, that we believe in the name of his Son Jesus Christ and love one another, just as he has commanded us.
